This month we received one entry for Art and Puzzle Day. Thank you so much to Robbie Cheadle for her picture of a lion. If you enjoyed this picture and her haiku, you definitely should read her book, Lion Scream. I read it when it first came out, but didn’t leave a review, so I’ve checked it out again. It’s worth reading more than once, but have some tissues nearby.

You know it, Darlene. Isn’t she amazing. And she still has time for family and friends, works, and gives so much to the blogging community, writes so many books, creates so many fondant characters, and on and on – yes paints and travels. I’m not sure she is human if you want to know the truth. ๐ xxx

What an impressive painting of the king of the jungle, Robbie. I saw this post before and probably was on my phone and I couldn’t comment on it. Great poem to go with it. We did jigsaw puzzles during Covid, but not anymore. It’s a cool feature to create a puzzle from art.

This is a fun one to do, too. I love the digital puzzles. They are fast. With my size screen, I can only get down to 250 pieces or they are too small to see them. They only take me an hour or so depending on the puzzle. Plenty of time for other things,

[…] I published them. Later, it occurred to me that maybe the poem was for this week. You can read it here. Sadly, that was the only Earth Day entry sent in. Next month, we are back on track with no topic […]

I did not know you could do jigsaws on the computer! I like the way it tells you for sure if you have the right piece, real jigsaws don’t. Thanks Robbie. I’ll have a another go after dinner!

Fun! I like that, too. Another trick is when you first open it, if you click on the picture at the top, you can do the border pieces first. The rest of them disappear until you finish the border.

Thatโs a handy hint as I am still working on the border and thought I must have dropped a couple of edge pieces on the floor -just canโt see them!

๐ They might be under one of the other pieces.

Yup, you were right, hidden. Now to tackle the middle pieces!

Such a beautiful painting! I love Robbie’s poem also. I’ve never seen one of these puzzles. How does it work?

You click on the link. It takes you to a website that has thousands of puzzles. This link takes you right to the puzzle, but if you go to the main site, you have a choice of playing one of theirs or uploading one of your own pictures. I play about one a day and have for at least a year without running out of options. They are limited to the size of my computer, so about the most pieces I can do is 250, but you have the choice of number of pieces and background. Just play around with it and have fun! ๐ xxxxx Thanks for reading and commenting.

I’m going to try a puzzle Marsha. Thank. You

You’re welcome Robbie. I want to tell you about something funny that’s been happening on my Facebook account. The algorhthym must have noticed that I like animals. I’m getting posts from zoos and wildlife organizations! My favorite animal is the gorilla. Last night I watched several videos about a gorilla giving birth and how loving she was to her new baby. A young gorilla came over to the mom and kissed the baby. I love it! ๐ฅฐ

Hi Kay, primates are very devoted to their babies. Sometimes, the rangers have to remove a dead baby from the arms of the mother as she will carried it about for weeks in grief at a loss. The same thing happens to me with FB. I get loads of reels of animals.

She is amazing. She also has amazing wildlife. The other think I love about Robbie’s creativity is that she is using her art to make a statement about how precious these animals are to our world, and how we endanger them with our greed and use of their habitat. I know that weighs on her constantly.
