WQ #14: April 5: EASTER/AWAKENING/RENEWAL/WHITE & PASTELS
The quote in the title is paraphrased from Thomas Hooker.

“Easter is the demonstration of God that life is essentially spiritual and timeless.”
-Charles M. Crowe
Easter Awaken Our Spirits
Happy Wednesday, and welcome to #WQ What symbolizes Easter more than the spring pastels of new life? What is happening in your life this week? Tell it with a quote and a photo, story, poem, or combination.

I celebrate Easter as a religious holiday, but photos are difficult since I wasn’t around for the actual first event. I hope you will enjoy these reminders of Easter instead. Can you imagine what our world would have been like if there had been cell phones 2,000 years ago? I have to assume that timing is as it should be. People might have focused on photography instead of the event.
Follow where your quotes lead you and have a “hoppy Easter.”

There’s a Trick to This, Kids
Adults and kids alike love making bubbles. Presented by Unlimited Bubbles.

“Tiny Bubbles” was originally written for Lawrence Welk, since he tended to perform “champagne music”. Welk turned it down, although he later performed the song several times on his television show after it became a hit.

Is blurry in? It is one of three choices of ways to edit photos. Whaaaaa? It’s kind of cool for memes and poetry on pictures, though. I made my little Bitmoji blurry to match my picture.

How do you like my new Easter Bitmoji outfit? I thought a pastel blouse would be just the thing. I remember when my new Easter outfit included white gloves. Now that’s OLD!

Blowing bubbles are such simple fun for any age. My two-year-old loves bubbles. I have to hide the bubbles because she blows bubbles in the house and it makes a mess.

Just don’t make any bubbles out of bleach! LOL JK. I saw this guy again a few days ago. He loved the pictures.

I can’t believe I hadn’t read this post until now, Marsha! Beautiful quotes, so perfect for Easter as a religious holiday and wonderful images of spring awakening for spring. I love those roses! I will be back to blogging on Sunday 4/16 for the pastel color challenge.

Hi Marsha – I loved the pastel flowers and the water reflecting the colours of the sky. We were out walking today and I noticed there were pastels everywhere as people were sitting around picnicking and sharing Easter gifts from pastel gift bags – and lots were wearing pastel outfits to match – it was all so pretty.

Hi Leanne, your pastel walk sounds beautiful – and probably the exception color-wise for the fall. Australia – at least the parts I’ve seen is so colorful, from the birds to the flowers. Glad you are able to walk again. My first husband had two hip replacements before he was 30, and they were so successful.

Hi Nancy, sorry to take so long to write back! It was wonderful to meet you! I love your cheerful smile. I look forward to getting together more. Jodie’s setting up something for May 5th. We’ll have such fun!
We went out to see the super blooms that Ingrid told us about along the way to Saguaro Lake. What a beautiful drive!
See you soon. I’ll be by your blog when we get home today. I didn’t bring my computer.

I had such a lovely time, Jodie. I’m so glad I got to sit next you you and across from our new friends – well new to me. I can’t wait until May 5th. Let’s email and plan something special – another field trip, maybe?

Yes, that would be so fun. And if not then, definitely another time. Because Prescott would be the place to go for photos in the heat of summer since it’s cooler,

True, but there is so much to do down in your area, and I will be there on May 5th. We can do something in Prescott in June or July, or you can stay in Prescott for a night and we might try something in Flagstaff.

I kinda chuckled when I saw your bubbles. And it was a great idea! A few days ago I tried to show my granddaughter and her friend (both age 3) how to gently blow into the wand for the bubbles.
They watched intently and then one conveniently started swiping the wand around with great success and the other poured the liquid into a little machine so it “snowed” bubbles. And together they made up and sang “its a bubble party”. And I realize now, they are smarter than me. lol .
I felt your frustration with you “schedule”. There are idiosyncrasies with WP. I guess challenge makes us stronger.
I love your Bitmoji and how you fit her into the story. And my favorite photo is of the water at the golf course. The quote was perfect and the color and mood was all encompassing for your post today. Hope you have a happy easter. Missed you all today. No doubt a day of laughter and fun.

Hi Donna, thanks for the lovely comment. I did have fun with this post, and it took a lot less time to rewrite than to write in the first place – and fortunately for everyone reading the post, it was quite a bit shorter! LOL I loved your post. We did miss you terribly! And you missed seeing Ingrid and Nancy who were both lovely. I didn’t know them before our lunch. Jodie has suggested May 5th as our next date. I think it would be fun to do something special.

I have been connected to Nancy for quite some time. She’s fun and has a nice blog to read. I haven’t met Ingrid. What is her blog called? I’ll have to check on her. May 5 should work for me.
I think it’s special to see all of you🤗🫶🏻. But I am always ready for extra-special too.
Thanks for your note about my post as well. It’s been fun to gather people and see interpretations on an idea…as you know…
