Good morning. It is already Saturday here in sunny Prescott, Arizona. It is 51 degrees F/ 10 C AGAIN! It’s perfect for a cup of steamy hot coffee mocha or tea. We could even go on the patio where I removed most of the vestiges of summer this week.
This woman copied my blog post after adding her own location. I’m not sure how to block her from doing this, but be on the lookout for her. tracyn.art/
This Week’s Nutshell News
- Nutter Butter didn’t have to get put to sleep. He is still a sick kitty, but no fluid in his abdomen and chest, so he has a chance of survival. He’s soon to be my million-dollar kitty. Rooting for Humana for Animals!
- We are 1/3 of the way through hosting our small group at church called, Better Together. Discussions were lively and everyone except the couple that told us they were traveling came back. YAY!
- My car has a new battery.
- I was dismissed from jury duty yesterday.
No Books Completed This Week
I’m still working on Doug Jacquier’s newest book, On the Verge of Extinction. You can get a free Kindle edition, and I’m sure he would appreciate the review. I read a story or two at night before I go to bed – the first time. One of his stories in that book was featured on Story Chat – November Story Chat – “Brooching the Subject” by Doug Jacquier. His stories are very dry and very funny. Click on his name to read a recent short short story.
Thursday Trios
Mama Cormier hosts this fun challenge each week. It’s easy to participate, just take pictures of anything in groups of three.
Blogger Meetup in Meyer, Arizona
Last month was such a wealth of blogger friends, pardon me for continuing to dwell in the past. I took over 1100 pictures in September and I’m still processing them all. I have taken next to none this month! As you may remember, I met the group from Jodie’s Touch of Style.
The restaurant in Meyer, Arizona is under new ownership and is making a name for itself. The cabins are cleaned and modernized (in a cowboy way.) The restaurant serves delicious food – which we had with delicious conversations on September 15. We want to get together again next month, if possible. If any of you Arizona residents or wanna bees are interested in getting together, let me know. For more trios click here.
Flowery Favorites
I was not as impressed with the Portland Rose Garden as I had hoped I would be – spoiled by Woodlake and all the time and love I poured into it. To be fair, fall is not the best time of the year for roses in California or Oregon. The most prolific blooms come in the spring. For more beautiful flower pictures from Cee and her FOTD followers click here.
Thursday Doors in the Nick of Time
Dan Antion hosts Thursday Doors. You have until Saturday noon to get yours posted. I’m barely going to make it, I think. While Dan is driving around Pittsburg, I wanted you to see some of the beauty of the PNW (Pacific Northwest). Trees rather than the doors made from them are the main interest in Portland.
Cee’s Black and White Challenge
I love this week’s theme of motorcycles. I don’t have any bikes or trikes from last month. Here are pictures from Cellar Creekside. For more from Cee and her fans click here.
This post is written for Natalie the Explorer’s Weekend Coffee Share. All of the pictures are cell pictures processed in either Adobe Bridge or Classic Lightroom. To know more about cell pics see John Steiner’s weekly post, Cell Pic Sunday.
