PPAC #60: Reflections of Shady Public Art

I try to look for public art that compliments other photo challenges. I’m also stretching public art into the realm of temporary art with a couple of car shows in this post along with some permanent fixtures.

LAST WEEK’S FABULOUS BLOGGERS

Last week for PPAC #59, I had fun responses from all of you. With all the other challenges, even public and street art, I thank all the bloggers who participate in the Photographing Public Art Challenge. Please honor these bloggers with your visits this week.

IT’S EASY TO PLAY ALONG WITH #PPAC

  • There is no weekly theme even though my post has a theme with murals, statues, fountains, scrap art, graffiti, store windows, seasonal displays, car or art shows, artistic construction, or even artistic neighborhood decor. Photograph the public art that is available to you.
  • Art should be freely visible from a public street, freeway, or walkway or inside a publicly accessed building like a library. If you pay, it’s not public.
  • Photographers should have free access of use for their photos – no copyrights by the artists.
  • The challenge starts every Friday at 9:00 a.m. Phoenix Time and it ends on Thursday at noon.
  • Write a post on your blog, publish it, and include a link back to my weekly post not my page preferably in a comment. Sometimes pingbacks are missed. See how to create pingbacks here. 
  • Take time to visit other PPAC participants throughout the week. I recommend visiting at least two or three other participants in the community and leaving them a comment.
  • Have fun! Art is to be enjoyed!

My Choices for PPAC #60 Reflections on Shady Public Art

CFFC

To go with Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge this week, I found lots of reflective and shadowy vehicles.

Showy car with orange trim, and lots of shadows and reflections. This also works for Thursday Trios in a real stretch in that there are three images of the rearview mirror.
This CA 2320 Historical Vehicle showpiece is rife with both shadows and reflections.
A glitzy Cougar reflects a not-so-glitzy cougar.
Check out all the art reflected in this shiny car. Don’t you love the sparkle on the left-hand corner of the mirror? Can you find the tic-tac-toe game – or maybe it’s a number sign?
Finally, the least comfortable ride – an antique tractor seat at the Cellar Creekside. Taken with my iPhone 12 mini

Hi, I’m Marsha Ingrao, a retired educator and wife of a retired realtor. My all-consuming hobby is blogging and it has changed my life. My friends live all over the world. In November 2020, we sold everything and retired to the mile-high desert of Prescott, AZ. We live less than five miles from the Granite Dells, four lakes, and hundreds of trails with our dog, Kalev, and two cats, Moji and Nutter Butter. Vince’s sister came with us and lives close by.       It’s seriously easy. Simply type image compare into the search box for block options. Choose it and upload two photos. If you are using the classic mode for creating posts, this probably won’t work. Hope that helps. 🙂 Have a great weekend, my friend.

      When I read your challenge and saw the mirror picture, I thought about that picture. I didn’t realize when I saw yours, though that there were two reflections. Same idea as yours, just a different reflection direction. 🙂
