“Whoever said orange was the new pink was seriously disturbed.”

60-mile 3-day walk for breast cancer cure in San Diego

Terri’s not seriously disturbed picking “Pink” as her Sunday Stills color this week. However, it is not overly Father’s Day compatible, so it gets its own billing today.

While I was doing this post and looking for pictures of my 60-mile walk, I discovered something about Word Press Images. Your media library is either default mode, and very hard to locate, or you can choose the classic mode and look up your photos by the date the post was published.

Landscape, Skyscape, and Flowers

“Now I really feel the landscape, I can be bold and include every tone of blue and pink: it’s enchanting, it’s delicious.”

– Claude Monet, ‘Monet By Himself: Paintings, Drawings, Pastels, Letters

Roses, of course

Other Pink Flowers

Of course, I didn’t forget my friend, Cee Neuner. There are plenty of flowers here for two weeks of FOTD. Is it really June 13th already!

Pink Clothes

“I remember being mad about having pink and red shoes. I grew up envying other girls’ pink and red shoes.”

– Miuccia Prada.

I wear a lot of pinks. It brightens my otherwise grayish complexion. Don’t these make me look bright?

Pink Food

“Love just comes in one color. Pink!”

– Anthony T. Hincks.

Live, Breathe, and Drive Pink

“Life, when it was good, was indeed pink. La vie en rose.”

– Lydia Michaels, ‘La Vie En Rose: Life In Pink’

  2. Very nice collection of pink photos. I especially liked the flowers. I don’t usually wear pink-pink (I grew up with two older brothers and didn’t want to be too girlie), more often purple or a brighter tone of fuchsia or magenta. It’s getting a little warm here… I could seriously go for some of that pink ice cream 🙂

    1. Let’s go. I could use some ice cream right now, too! My brother didn’t care what I wore as long as it didn’t belong to him. 🙂

  3. I smiled all the way through this. No, I tell a lie- I scowled at the pink icecream! Hate strawberry icecream or milk shake. Gorgeous roses though.and all those other florals. Happy pink week!

    1. Thanks, Jo. I didn’t buy any of the pink ice cream, but it was pretty! For eating, it’s almost always brown!

    1. I kinda went crazy in the flower department. I tend to go overboard or do nothing! I’m not doing abandoned buildings this week though I have a bunch and a great story, too. Maybe I should. But I’m out of time, and I’ve got tons for the next week, as you can guess! LOL

  6. Beautiful photos. I love pink flowers, but rarely wear the color. I’ve got a pink enough complexion that I don’t need to add to it!

    1. Lucky you. That’s something we don’t have in common. I tend to gray.

    1. LOL, no picture of any! Sorry John. Your FD cars for Cell Pic are coming tomorrow. I’ve been trying to decide on catagorizing them by color, make, era… So many possibilities. 🙂 I promise not to post all 170 pictures. LOL

  9. I love your pink shoes! And of course all those flowers are a treat for the eyes 🙂 I find old photos by using the search box in the media library.

    1. Thanks for the lovely compliment, Sarah. I do love the flowers. And pink, you can’t get enought of pink flowers. 🙂

Searching in the media files doesn’t always work though. It turned out that I had done this post as a Lens Artist post, and labeled the pictures LAPC #161. Yikes! I found the post first, and then I was able to search by date in the classic mode. In the regular mode you can’t search by date effectively. At least not on my site. I couldn’t find my original photos either. So…

      1. I always title my photos with what they are. It takes time but makes searching easier.

        Liked by 1 person

        1. I don’t know why I didn’t. It really is easy to title them correctly in Bridge, so the problem is with my thinking about what’s important. What takes so much time is adding things like alt tags, etc.

      1. I was kidding about the desserts – and funny you should say the meat – I actually have a few steak images and other pink flowers from someone’s challenge last year that had a pink theme – I prepped them but had something come up!
Anyhow – hoping to share a few of them for this weeks Sunday stills-
I have enjoyed the pink posts so far in my reader

  16. So. Much. Pink! And very stunning too I might add, Marsha! From the pink food, cars, shoes, and florals, you covered the color quite nicely! Love Elle Woods’ quote–I had used that one last October for my pinktober post! Call me or text when you get a chance–left you an email too! xx

    1. OK, sorry, I’ve been working on pinks and labeling pictures. I think I can just press a button and tons of pinks will come up. and I do it, and nothing comes up. So I started through some of the posts I knew had pink, and one label led to another. Maybe we can chat tomorrow. Vince has an 11 am appointment and he should be gone about 10:30.
