Definition of Water
This week’s water focus is on large bodies of water: lakes, oceans, and depending on how big your pool is…
If you are spending time in the water this summer, be sure to brush up on water safety. Terri Webster Schrandt offers some great tips.

โAdvice from the Ocean: Be shore of yourself. Come out of your shell. Take time to coast. Avoid pier pressure. Sea lifeโs beauty. Donโt get so tide down on work that you miss out on lifeโs beautiful waves.โ

โThe sea pronounces something, over and over, in a hoarse whisper; I cannot quite make it out.โ

I love those ocean puns and the photos you’ve selected to match them – very clever ๐
I don’t think my contribution quite fits your ‘water fun in the sun’ theme but it IS water so I hope you’ll forgive: https://www.toonsarah-travels.blog/gallery-i-must-go-down-to-the-seas-again/

I come here mostly for the quotations๐ Though I did Follow you from my previous blog, and participated a few times–I seem to be chronically hazy about the prompts. So here’s my question: for this one, could I write a poem, perhaps, about not being in the water but blissfully sitting close enough to enjoy the sound of rippling tide? And if so, should I include a quote (or quotes)? Thanks in advance–you have a most lovely blogsite!

Thank you so much for your lovely compliment, Staarlz. Yes, you can write a poem about sitting close to the water and enjoying the rippling tide. You need to include one quote that inspires your writing or thinking about water. Thanks for asking. ๐

Loved the photos of the sea. I’m lucky to be retired in Spain, near to the Med, and, of a Sunday, we take the paper and read it by the shore, while listening to its many, soothing voices… Love it! Thank you. Cheers. xx

Oh I cannot wait to get wet at Watson Lake (and others) with you and the gang in a few weeks, Marsha! I am compiling my SS post for this week and your post, as always, gave me some added inspiration. I have seen that advice from the ocean puns before, and I used to have an image of it somewhere. I like what you did with your own images! Glad Manny was not harmed, LOL!

I think so. I talked with our neighbor last night about pools in Phoenix. Apparently, in AZ it is legal not to have a fence around your pool. She said they have numerous drownings every year.
