FEATURED BLOGGERS
For the last three weeks, I had fun responses from all of you for PPAC #45. Thank you to all the bloggers who participated while I was on vacation, too. I love how many of you visit each other’s posts. Please honor them with your visits this week. I will be on a short vacation with my sister-in-law starting yesterday for her 70th birthday. I will visit your blogs as soon as I can, but I’m the driver this time. We will only be gone until the 15th so everything is still on schedule.

ITโS EASY TO PLAY ALONG WITH #PPAC
- There is no weekly theme even though my post may have a theme with murals, statues, fountains, scrap art, graffiti, store windows, seasonal displays, car or art shows, artistic construction, or even artistic neighborhood decor. Photograph the public art that is available to you.
- Art should be freely visible from a public street, freeway, or walkway or inside a publicly accessed building like a library. If you pay, itโs not public.
- Photographers should have free access of use for their photos โ no copyrights by the artists.
- The challenge starts every Friday at 9:00 a.m. Phoenix Time and it ends on Thursday at noon.
- Write a post on your blog, publish it, and include a link back to my weekly post not my page preferably in a comment. Sometimes pingbacks are missed. See how to create pingbacks here.
- Take time to visit other PPAC participants throughout the week. I recommend visiting at least two or three other participants in the community and leaving them a comment.
- Have fun! Art is to be enjoyed!

These early-bird participants might give you some great ideas about something youโve never thought about as public art or how to photograph it.

Welcome to our lair, I mean Shopping Center.
Just before you reach the London Bridge, watch your step if you don’t want to lose a leg – or worse. Don’t let the fancy gates lure you into relaxing your vigilance.
If you avoid burning by the dragons at the gate, beware.
Sarah from Travel with Me sent me a wonderful link about the history of these dragons. https://www.londonremembers.com/memorials/city-boundary-dragons
The circle of lions awaits you and they are all spitting mad.
They want to lure you into the fountain of acid where you will disintegrate within a matter of seconds. (See Yvette, I have been watching Breaking Bad.)
If you make it past the circle of lions, don’t forget to look up. Remember Crocodile Dundee? A similar fate awaits those not on their guard from the spears from above.
Watch out for the innocent puppy. He looks like a puppy, and he is. But do you know why he’s so big? He grows three inches with each baby he eats. Watch your stroller carefully. Your child may be charmed by his sweet looks, but as soon as your baby reaches out their little arms…
Now if you get past the killer puppy, you’re almost to the bridge home free. But you still might have to wrestle the wiley aligator just waiting to get a taste of leg of human. Yes, he looks cute and innocent, but don’t be fooled by his heavenly looks.
Don’t say I never warned you. We managed to get through the obstacle course to enjoy the London Bridge on a beautiful sunny day. With my tips, you will be able to do the same.
Ongoing on Always Write
- Story Chat with a sweet short story with a surprise ending, “As Far As a Former Prisoner Can Go,” from Charli Mills at Carrot Ranch Literary Community. You’ll find some of your favorite Story Chat authors’ newest short stories in 99 words, no more no less if you click the link!
- WQW #17– “What’s that Smell?” The only rule is to have a quote about the topic and comment either with a story, poem, or pictures.
Now it’s your turn.
Have some fun with the public art in your area. You don’t HAVE to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you God if something else works better. ๐ Have a great weekend.
Your babbling is music to my ears. Please leave a comment!
