If you’re not a challenge blogger, that will be the weirdest title ever. When I first started blogging, I lost most of my non-blogging readers with titles like that. But as a challenge blogger, I like these kinds of titles. I know just what to expect, and I even know who will be reading the post. We have become a community.
This week, as you may know, I’m enjoying the eye-delights of flowers in Sunny CA.

All of these pictures were taken with my 12 mini iPhone and processed in Bridge to keep them small and use less space in WordPress and either by cropping them to be square and/or to sharpen them just a bit.
Ludwig’s Monday Windows.

These pictures were taken at the Crystal Hermitage near Nevada City, CA.
And now, for the weirdest self-portrait I’ve ever taken. Ta-da!

To capture this picture I stood in front of a window and tried to shoot through to the other side of the building. I’ll share more of the building in another post for Thursday Doors.
This post is done on the run, so I apologize for any mistakes. Lots of love to everyone.

Knowing your reader and writing to them … I wish all my writing students (from long long long time ago) got this message as you obviously do!
I chuckle as I read the opening of your post – indeed it would be strange for someone looking in for those words not to really make sense. But for those who know ….
Hope you are enjoying your time in CA … love love love your self-portrait!

What wonderful compliments, Ju-Lyn. Writing is communicating, and takes a lot of work. I don’t always communicate well, My husband critiques my work sometimes as an outsider and lets me know whne things don’t make sense. 🙂

Indeed writing takes work – I wholeheartedly agree with you. You are very fortunate to have your husband for a critical reader to provide feedback.

I want to get back into it and finish something but it also takes a lot of time.

Thanks, Robbbie. I was shocked that my reflection came out like that. Nothing planned for sure.

Looks like you had a fun trip to California. I LOVE that self-portrait, so original, and really artistic. It took me a while to figure out exactly what was going on. Interesting!

I definitely wanted to come up to Prescott one of these days soon. Especially now that it’s getting hot here!

Amen to that! We will get home today. Then I’m taking my sister in law to Palm Desert from the 12-15th for her birthday to visit a friend for four days. Then I’m home for a while.

I hate my selfies!!! I don’t mind reflections as much. It’s more like taking a picture of a ghost!

Hi Jo! I’ve got a great walk tor you when I get back. It’s too much to post on my phone! I think reflections are very much like taking ghost pictures-if there were such a thing!

Fantastic! Having a bit of a battle with WP over photos right now. I might need tips on resizing. Did you write an article on that at one time, Marsha? 🤔💟

Yes, when I get home maybe we can zoom chat. That makes it easier to explain.

Thanks sweetheart! Not urgent. I think I was mistakenly in the media library for Restlessjo so I’m still alright for storage. Panic over 😮💟

I’m so glad your trips around NorCal have been fun and inspiring, Marsha! The florals are gorgeous but the self-portrait is priceless! You are reminding me that I will be on the run in less than 2 months and I’m going to try to keep up with SS while doing so.

Before I forget — in the bottom picture of you gallery (tulips!) — there are little fuzzy blue-purple flowers. It looks like a ground cover. I have those flowers all over both our yards. I didn’t plant them, but they may have arrived via bird and I have NO idea what they are. Do you know what they are? They are furious, relentless growers in every kind of weather and I’m pretty sure they aren’t a wildflower.
I love that last picture. I’ve tried to do similar things, but that’s a real winner. Complex and arty. I love it! And I love your tulips, too.

from what I can tell they are grape hyacinths.
