Greetings from sunny California. The trip out here from Prescott took about 10 hours because we stopped to exercise our legs along the way. Vince treated me to a visit to London Bridge in Lake Havasu, which was about an hour out of the way, but so worth it!

Please visit Terri’s Sunday Stills and Cee’s FOTD for more gorgeous flower pics.

I couldn’t wait to get back to the Woodlake Rose Garden this year.

Timing it just right, we got there and found, not just roses, but some amazing cacti.

Even in my wildest dreams I’ve never seen cacti bloom like these. Manuel Jimenez has the magic touch. Kiwanis, the Master Gardeners and many, many volunteers have done equally amazing things nurturing the roses this year.

Not to be outdone, our son got his girlfriend several bouquets.

Finally a parting shot of those beautiful Woodlake Gardens cacti

Thanks, Sarah. They were THAT gorgeous! My Kiwanis friends work hard all year to keep them that way. Roses require about 90 hours per bush, per year to keep them up to that level according to the nursery man who took over the job after the city inherited it.

Thanks, Yvette. We visited a nature preserve near Sacramento yesterday and walked over 10,000 steps. Can’t wait to share that walk!

Cactus flowers are so beautiful and some have a wonderful scent. Most only last for a day so you were lucky to see so many all at once.

How fun to go back to California, Marsha! Hopefully, that will be us in less than 2 months! Love the Woodlake W made of flowers! The cacti flowers are quite stunning and are rarely seen, I’m sure. The lego bouquets are adorable and will last forever (Unless someone plays with them). Glad you could share your fab florals for Sunday Stills this week! Your link today makes it 30! Enjoy your vacation and have a wonderful time.
