Public art encompasses any form of art you see in a public place, large or small, statues, murals, graffiti, gardens, parks, etc. The art should be visible from streets, sidewalks, or outdoor public places. Let your imagination and photographic eye show us diverse samples all over the world.

My Choices for PPAC #37: Prescott Library Entrance
Once in a while, you might find a mountain lion roaming the streets of Prescott or possibly a bobcat, but this one has great taste. Seated atop the Prescott Public Library wall, he oversees us all.
Dare to go up the stairs to gain access to the place of knowledge and get past this one. He’s no bookworm, he’s a Library Lizard.
“The sculpture was commissioned by the Friends of the Prescott Public Library. “Library Lizard” is accompanied by a small sleeping cat, a butterfly, and a ladybug at her side, but you have to look very close to find them.”
Art at the Library
Lizards are much more common visitors during Prescott’s summer months, traveling all over town. Most of them probably go to the library to find out the secrets to long life and friendship. I think I’ll join them there.

Both Natalie’s Coffee Share and the Fab Four’s, DONNA, SUE, JO, DEBBIE What’s on Your Bookshelf offer us a simple way to share what we read and how we liked it.
I finished the last book last night and returned my four books this morning. Night. Sleep. Death. The Stars is super long and super slow with kind of an up in the air end. Nonetheless, I did finish it but for me, it bordered on what Sue calls a “Marmite” book.
Police brutally attack and young Indian doctor and a former white mayor in New York. His family members each cope in their own way with this experience. No one takes it well but they all started with issues. Eventually, some of them find the freedom to move on and do what they think is the right way to BE, not how they perceive their father/husband would want them to live their lives.

Inventing Anna on Netflix Vince and I binge-watched this over the past week. Apparently, it is based on the real-life story of a woman who racked up over $200,000 in unpaid bills and is now fighting deportation. Julia Garner plays Anna Sorokin, aka Anna Delvin. Stories based on true stories are my favorite genre of movies and series. Inventing Anna is true where it’s true and not when it’s not. It is not a biography.
Julia Garner is the same actress who played Ruth on Ozark, if you are a bingie of that series. We have watched that series, too, but it is very dark, violent, criminal, and bloody. It makes me super nervous to watch it, so I’ve skipped quite a few episodes, but Vince loves it.
8th Surgery
My veins are undergoing their 8th (not vain or in vain) surgery this morning. Think good thoughts and pray for them. I’m hoping my legs will be clot-free today.
Usually, it takes four surgeries to get rid of stubborn clots in patients’ legs. Last time I asked what I was doing wrong – I’m wearing the socks, exercising moderately, keeping my legs elevated when I sit, drinking lots (of water!), and taking blood thinners. Yet the clots persist. The answer I got was that I wasn’t doing anything wrong. Mine are old and stubborn clots.
So I am asking for your help today to convince the clots to give up the battle. They are not going to win. They might as well quit now.
CBWC – Lines
One of my favorite challenges is Cee’s Black and White Challenge. I couldn’t resist this one – lines. There are lots of lines in the library, not just lines in poetry books and historic fiction. But lines are everywhere.
At home are a few more lines I wanted to share.
