Photo Challengers love Squares and love Becky B. This month we have the Squares theme of odd photos. Odd can mean strange or a specific number like three or five.

I don’t call my brother odd out of meanness. He is my own personal Jim Carey. He has a strange/odd sense of humor – very physical, full of puns. He will do anything to get a laugh.
Since I just found these fabulous pictures of Randy’s and my memorable trip to Chicago and Indiana, I’ll start with them. Have you ever seen the Liberty Mutual commercial with the bull rider? When I found these pictures, they made me laugh. Since he was a kid, he’s entertained us with his odd antics. I hope you enjoy them.

Randy is also deathly afraid of heights. As a kid, we went up in a seaplane, which my dad thought Randy would love. It made him sick, and he’s hardly flown since. We tried the Ferris wheel. I thought that would be slow and not too scary. He posed in his typical Superman flight pattern before we got going too much. After that, I took pictures of the view with his camera, so he could see them when he got down.
After that, he wanted to go on a little milder ride. He chose the carousel. Keep in mind that my brother is six feet three inches tall and minutes from his sixtieth birthday. Fortunately, there were not many kids there waiting their turn.

I’m glad you found it. Isn’t it great? He had a fabulous time clowning around. It was a super fun place even for a couple of older folks. 🙂

Once a year we had a carousel like that. During the pandemie – nada. I look forward when it is there again.

We don’t have anything like that here in Prescott, but in Chicago it is a permanent fixture, if it’s still there, that is. This was taken in 2013.

This is a fun post, Marsha. I am sure my sisters call me odd too.

I know Randy calls me odd – or worse. LOL I AM his bossy older sister.

I am not a fan of heights either and to be honest the Ferris wheels scare me to death! He’s quite the trooper! And it wasn’t that long ago and myself was on a carousel🤣🤣🤣

He’s always quite a trooper when he travels with me. I had no idea that it scared him so much until he got on it. His problem with me is that he doesn’t stand up for himself and say no. We had a boat ride once that was a disaster for him and I had no idea because he did the boat ride in Chicago just fine. But a few years later, he got deathly ill on a short ride in Newport, OR. Now I know better. His inner ear problem has gotten much worse as he has aged. But he always tries to please his older sister to his own downfall! We’ll know better next time. 🙂

He is Alison and that was one of my most memorable trips ever. That and a few other amazing trips – like my trip to Australia to meet two blogging friends, which lasted for three weeks.

What a fabulous brother, and I am so envious he has been on a carousel. Maybe I’ll get the opportunity when I am 60 and I will make sure I follow his riding technique!!

LOL, Becky B. He was so funny. Then I found some other carousel pictures that I’ll share later with much the same poses – different characters. 🙂

Yeah! He had a great time. We both did on that trip. I was so thrilled to find the pictures again. It was almost as bad as if I’d lost all of our pictures together. BTW, I’ve never spent 3 weeks with my brother!!! LOL I don’t know if he could stand me for that long!

it’s important to have both. after all, if there was no one to laugh, the funny person might just give up trying to be funny!

Not Randy, he never gives up. LOL. He used to write comic books as a kid. As soon as he’d finish, he put it in Mom’s and my faces until we read them. Sometimes I laughed until the tears ran. So he had his encouragement to run back to his room and write the next episode. We still laugh about those comic books.
