PPAC #30: Storefront Street Greeters Discuss Work

It’s Easy to Join PPAC

Public art encompasses any form of art you see in a public place, large or small, statues, murals, graffiti, gardens, parks, etc. The art should be visible from streets, sidewalks, or outdoor public places. Let your imagination and photographic eye show us diverse samples all over the world.

This fun weekly challenge starts at 9:00 am Phoenix time on Fridays and ends at noon on the following Thursdays. You don’t have to follow my theme for the week. See my PPAC page for details.

Last week for PPAC #29, I had a marvelous response from all of you in spite of all the blogging breaks. I want to say thank you to each of you for joining along in the PPAC challenge.  Here are the featured bloggers for this week.  Their posts really grabbed my attention. They are all worthy of a second or third look.

My Choices for PPAC #30

These lovely pieces of public art also could be classified as Oddball, in my opinion. This is a good time to look through your archives and find those that tickle your fancy and label them. Cee is playing Oddball on her CFFC (Fun Foto Challenge) January 26th and Becky B’s new Squares’ theme in February is also Odd! Of course, odd could be a number, too!

People are laughing at me.
I feel unwired.

I need a snow day."

Bot’s Advisors

“I just want to blow up listening to that half-bit Bot. Just do your job, Dude! That’s what I say.”
“Yep, if your job stinks, Man, get the right equipment.”

Having Fun with Other Challenges

Now it’s your turn.

Share some crazy public that tickles your funny bones. Or share a masterpiece or two. It’s up to you! Thanks so much for stopping by and having fun with public art.

    • Aren’t they wonderful? Yes, Randy is a very patient photo shoot partner. He loves to take pictures as well. We have a lot of fun together. We like many of the same things, so it really is a joy. I just wish we lived closer. He doesn’t travel well because he gets dizzy with inner ear problems. So planes are out, long road trips are out. We did cross the country by train and that went really well.

  1. Oooh, today’s theme is scary! I’m afraid of robots since very little. 😀 (And watching Demon Seed later didn’t help!) I love your poem though. I wish all the snow days to all the robots that need them.

I am indeed starting a new series today, how did you know? 😉 It seems that I’m able to weave them out of thin air. 😀 The first part is about a welder artist but most of the posts will focus on architecture.

    • Those had probably been some unsuspecting old lady. The elephant probably said to Bot when the lady dropped them, “Hey these would just fit you.”

Bot must have answered by trying them on. Not knowing how dentures worked or why anyone would need them, didn’t get them on very straight. In his eyes they looked just fine.

Hi, I'm Marsha Ingrao, a retired educator and wife of a retired realtor. My all-consuming hobby is blogging and it has changed my life. My friends live all over the world. In November 2020, we sold everything and retired to the mile-high desert of Prescott, AZ. We live less than five miles from the Granite Dells, four lakes, and hundreds of trails with our dog, Kalev, and two cats, Moji and Nutter Butter. Vince's sister came with us and lives close by. Every day is a new adventure.
