Public art encompasses any form of art you see in a public place, large or small, statues, murals, graffiti, gardens, parks, etc. The art should be visible from streets, sidewalks, or outdoor public places. Let your imagination and photographic eye show us diverse samples all over the world.

My Choices for PPAC #26 Hosier Lane
In my last two PPAC posts I’e been sharing my 2016 walk down Hosier Lane in Melbourne with fellow blogger, the Eternal Traveller. As things change there from day to day, it probably looks so different now. Since these are some of my very favorite murals, I’m sad that they probably are gone.
I’m not sure what’s going on in this picture, but it looks like someone does when their sunburn is peeling off. However, with painters, they can make thing look 3-D, so maybe that’s part of the Hosier look.
My first picture of this young woman is my original photo. I played with it, and she became a little edgier. Which do you prefer, soft and waif-like or edgy?
This picture had almost a camouflage look about it when I first saw it. I hardly saw the picture. You can see how much lighter and cloudier it is than the other paintings on the lower level. After sharpening it up a little and playing with the contrast and colors, she is much easier to see.
What I love the most in these last two paintings are their eyes.
Updates for Natalie’s Weekend Coffee Share
- I had the privilege of having lunch with John Steiner – PhotosbyJohnbo and his wife today. It’s such a delight to meet fellow bloggers in person and learn how much you have in common. I always learn a lot, too, and that’s my goal in life.
- I’m on my last leg of my four-month pickleball accident ordeal. I had an appointment with a pulmonologist – if you need a great one, I recommend Dr. Seth. I still have “uncontrolled inflammation” in my lungs, and will start using a steroid inhaler and taking Allegra for a while. I have one more surgery to remove clots in my left leg next Friday – my sixth and what I hope is my last.
- A friend is visiting us starting tomorrow for a week from California. She has NEVER been to AZ, never seen the Grand Canyon or Sedona. This is going to be a fun week with lots of photo opportunities. I can’t wait.
- My neighbor and I had brunch on Thursday and planned a progressive dinner for our neighbors scheduled for December 19th.
- Pickleball friends are hosting an elephant gift party on Dec. 21st.
- Manny is going to Florida in January and Vince and I are headed for the opposite coast to California.
