Welcome to Always Write. I am your hostess, Marsha Ingrao, creator, and editor of Always Write and the Challenge Interview Series. It is a blog to reach and befriend like-minded bloggers. Today I have with me my Teddy Bear, Manny Ingrao, to interview our guest.
Today we welcome Biasini and his human, Anne Leueen, on her blog, The Horse Addict as our guest challenge hosts.
Wait! Wait! Mom, who’s doing this interview, you or me? Biasini and his human, Ma Leueen, guest hosted one of the Lens-Artists Photo Challenge themes. That’s pretty cool that he got to do a guest host on their challenge. Mom, I want to do that, too.
Manny, today is about your new friend Biasini, not you. Biasini has contributed to their challenge and you just woke up. Now show our friend that you can stay on task and welcome Biasiani and his ma to our interview today.
Okay, okay. Please make Biasini and Ma Leueen feel right at home here by leaving them lots of comments and following the links to visit their blog, Horse Addict. We will leave you lots of links and pictures so you can’t get lost. Now let’s learn a little about their backstories. What’s a backstory, Mom? Is it because his Ma rides on his back all the time?
Just read the questions, Manny. You’ll find out all about both Biasini and his ma.
Sure, Question One, Biasini: What prompted you to get into blogging? I mean, you’re a horse.
True, but you’re a teddy bear and here you are. I started contributing to Ma Leueen’s blob after hearing the Humans at the barn talking about it all the time. I thought that I could add in the point of view of the horse and that lots of Humans might like that. I know the Humans call it a Blo Guh but I prefer to call it a Blo Buh. Why? Well just because it is ….a blob. A blob of information and the horse’s point of view.
Why did you guest host the Lens Artists Challenge? I put in a link to their most recent challenge, Biasini.
Easy… I was asked by one of the Lens-Artists to be the guest host. It was Tina Human who asked me. She told me they had not had a horse as guest host and I could choose any topic I liked. They had to approve my topic of course.
Well, it was easy to me to choose. I choose the word “Communication” and I told the story of my half-sister, Bella Rose, who is a famous Olympic level horse, and how she was injured at a World Championship and was not competing for four years. But her rider, who was a famous German Olympian called Isabell never gave up on Bella Rose and she came back to win at the World Equestrian Games and the Tokyo Olympics!
This is a link to my post, Lens-Artist Challenge #118.
Did your post help other bloggers, Biasini?
I have to be honest I don’t know if my post helped other Teddy Bears, Manny. But I think it will have helped some horses and maybe their owners will not give up on them. And it will tell lots of Humans that it is possible to communicate with horses.
Isabell knew that Bella Rose could come back. Bella Rose told her that. She communicated that to Isabell. On the other side of things sometimes horses know they cannot come back and they can tell their humans that as well.
Have you ever thought about hosting a photo challenge?
I don’t think I have ever thought of hosting a photo challenge myself, Manny. I’m not sure how I would be able to do that.
Yeah, me either. Mom wrote the questions. Is there anything you want to say?
One thing I want Humans to know is that horses are not stupid. We are not “dumb” animals. We have walked alongside humans since the dawn of time. We have fought in their wars, carried them to new places on our backs, pulled their carriages and chariots and plows, and saved their lives. I know this from my ancestors’ memories. We horses can keep the memories of our ancestors. I believe Humans have forgotten how to do that.
Most Humans treat us very well but those that think we are stupid often treat us badly. Sometimes they break our spirit. That is something that makes me angry and also very sad. We are very intelligent. I know I am smart even though I don’t always spell things the same way as the Humans do! We have survived for millions of years because we are smart and we don’t miss anything. We observe much better than Humans and that is why we are still here, still walking along beside the Humans. So if my speaking on the Blob can let Humans know horses are intelligent then it will have served a great purpose.
That’s not very nice for humans to think you are stupid, Biasini. You are very smart or people like Human Tina wouldn’t ask you to host a blob challenge. I like that – blobbing. We are blobbing right now.
Okay, Manny, yes we are blobbing.
Blobbing makes me think about apples. I can’t help it, Biasini.
I think that’s bobbing, Manny, I like apples, too. But anyway, here are some photos that were taken yesterday when I was dictating my answers to your questions.
For the photo on the right, you can see that I touch the tellingbone with my nose to change something. In the next photo, I am just listening to Ma Leueen reading what she has written. She will look at me to understand if I am happy with it or not. The last photo shows me after I have asked Ma Leueen to change something.
Those are great pictures, Biasini. I think you are very handsome. One more question. Are there any blobbers that you love to visit?
Biasini Shout Outs to Blogging Heroes
You asked me about which other blobbers I like. Well, I have some I like very much. There is Xenia at Tranature and Whippet Wisdom. She is terrific and she has two nice dogs Pearl and Eivor. She shares great photos of them and they go on trails in the forest just like Ma Leueen and I do. And they go for gallops on the beach which looks like a lot of fun.
I also like the Backyard Horse Blog. She has lots of practical stuff on her blog. And she always likes to hear from me. She’s a true horseperson.
Speaking of horse persons, there is also Diana who is at My Life and Horse Stories. She has two horses and she takes them and rides them around the neighbourhood. They have sandy sidewalks where her horses live and so they can easily walk around there. I like to hear about her horses She lives somewhere that is warm and dry most of the year. I have invited her to come here, and bring one of her horses, and we could all go for walks in the forest together.
We lived in California like Diana until a year ago, too, Biasini. You would have loved it there. People rode horses on our street sometimes. We lived in the country, so there were lots of cows and horses. It was fun.
Don’t forget to thank Biasini and Anne Leueen for stopping by for the interview, Manny.
I was getting to that, Mom. Geez. Anyway, thanks so much for answering all of me and mom’s questions. This was my first interview, and you were so nice. I love your blog, I mean blob. I have my own blob, but I like how you and your ma are doing it together.
Thanks, Manny. You did fine. Maybe we could do it again sometime.
I’d like that, Biasini. I’ll have some apples ready.
Now it’s your turn
I just got the look. I almost forgot to say thanks to everyone for reading our interview. If you loved it, please leave me and Biasini a comment. You know we’ll comment back before I head back to bed for the winter.
Your babbling is music to my ears. Please leave a comment!
