Cee asked for some dirty pictures for this week’s Fun Foto Challenge, and I have plenty of those. Here are a few favorites from home and various travels.

Tulare County in California is basically an arid semi-desert region except for a few days when the rain falls in inches rather than drops. This is what you get alongside the road because the water doesn’t permeate well.

Vince, Cindy, and I had the fortune of seeing a rare mama monk seal in Hawaii. We enjoyed walking on the warm sand. These first two photos also work well for Jez’s Water Water Everywhere Challenge.

Vince and I love to drive an hour from Prescott to hike in Sedona. The red dirt is so fine, your shoes and clothes get filthy, but it’s a good dirty. Now I take hiking sticks to alert me to snake-like branches that might lie unnoticed in my path.
Now it’s your turn.
I love to link challenges, but I don’t always get the challenge names into the title. Hope you are having fun with challenges this week.

I looked up air fares. I hope to fly to Santa Maria in January. It’s only 71 dollars round trip from Phoenix to Santa Maria, I think, on Allegiant Air. What better way to spend an hour in January! ๐

Wouldn’t that be fun. I’m waiting on Terri to tell me when she’s coming here so I don’t miss her.

Yes, CO does have it – Pike’s Peak is red, isn’t it?

It is not red, but there is red rock close to Colorado Springs, that is probably what you are remembering ๐

That’s where we lived for 3 years. We only went up on Pike’s Peak about three time. Both of our parents couldn’t breathe up there, so we couldn’t walk around. ๐

It’s interesting, but not if you can’t breathe. ๐
