This month, I’ve picked a theme of roses. Granted, it’s not the main season for roses, that would be April, in California. They are still nice here in Prescott. I like this challenge, even though I’m doing others, I’ll try not to intermingle them so much so you won’t have to plow through stories to see the flowers.

  • Single flowers
  • Buds
  • Multiple flowers
  • Bouquet
  • Flower fields
  • Wildflowers
  • Tree or bush blossoms
  • Autumn leaves
  • Spring leaves
  • Decorative Cabbage
  • Berries

Sleuthing for Bugs Among Roses

The good thing is that I couldn’t find a single aphid picture. The sad thing is that some bugs are cute when placed against a gorgeous rose. I thought I had more pictures of them. So let’s play “Name that Bug!”

“I shouldn’t even be here!”
Hi! I’m hanging in here until Halloween.
“I’ll be out of your sight in a second.”
“Don’t worry, Bee happy.”
“Ha, ha, ha! You can’t catch me, I’m the Gingerbread Man (in disguise).”
“Roses are yellow, same as this fellow.”

This post is extraordinary in many ways. First, I think they are you very best Rose photos you’ve taken. Next, it is an original idea to photograph bugs on Roses and then feature them in a blog. I’m super impressed!!!

Thanks Veronica. I love buggy pictures as long as they don’t expose too much of themselves.

That’s all they eat, so yes. Rose flies, rose pincher thingies, rose spiders and so forth.

Thanks – they are really for Bushboy. You don’t like bugs. 🙂 How do you like that one who is waving?

I was just complaining to Bushboy about his, so this is in response. These insects are not showing off their underbellies or legs. 🙂

It’s not always easy to get pictures of animals or insects.
