Would you like to be double delighted in September? This month, I’ve picked a theme of roses. Granted, it’s not the main season for roses, that would be April, in California. They are still nice here in Prescott. I like this challenge, even though I’m doing others, I’ll try not to intermingle them so much so you won’t have to plow through stories to see the flowers.
- Single flowers
- Buds
- Multiple flowers
- Bouquet
- Flower fields
- Wildflowers
- Tree or bush blossoms
- Autumn leaves
- Spring leaves
- Decorative Cabbage
- Berries
WHITE ROSES
The roses in the Woodlake Rose Garden are being labeled as we speak, so my posts are just a guess. I’m fairly sure I am correct on the major type, but the name is a wild guess out of two choices.

I adore Willow Dot’s poetry. She’s been writing some to go with our beautiful Woodlake Rose Garden photos. She rocks my world with her simple messages. Please check out her website for her response for Colleen’s Tanka Tuesday weekly writing challenge.
Purity and light Roses coloured white Symbol of those in plight They grow for the innocent They lie on the battlefield. Willow Dot
Just a bit of gossip. Colleen is the one who started Writer’s Quotes Wednesdays years ago.

Polyantha is a new words for me. My plan is one a day if I can keep up and don’t run out of flower photos.
