Natalie the Explorer tells us that she is delighted to be hosting the Sunday Stills photography challenge while host Terri Webster Schrandt is away. Natalie’s theme this week is afloat. What a perfect theme!
I had the privilege of taking these pictures with Terri when she zipped through Prescott on her way to a wedding in Sedona.
The weather couldn’t have been more pleasant for a kayak ride. Prescott runs about 15-20 degrees cooler than the temperatures in the valley. That meant about 85-90 degrees with a breeze stiff enough to blow off my visor. That’s why I wore it around my neck! Does the kayaking envy show on our faces?
Kayaking Season on Watson Lake
“Learn to kayak because zombies can’t swim.”
– Author unknown
Hans, Terri’s husband barked at the dog. The dog barked back, “I’m in the boat, sucker. You’re on shore. Watch out for Zombies.”
“I don’t need therapy. I just need to go kayaking.”
– Author unknown
“Never mess with a kayaker. We know places where no one will find you.”
– Author unknown
“Kayaking is the answer. Who cares what the question is.”

“So lovely was the loneliness of a wild lake.”
– Edgar Allan Poe
This lake was anything but lonely – maybe a bit wild, but not lonely. Thanks for joining us on Sunday Stills. Thank you Natalie for hosting Sunday Stills this week. Thanks also for reminding us that Jez has a challenge Water Water Everywhere each week.
