#PPAC 4: Outdoor Museum Art

Public art is which encompasses any form of art you see in a public place, large or small, statues, murals, graffiti, gardens, Christmas lights, even buildings or bridges. The art should be visible from streets, sidewalks or outdoor public places..

Cee Neuner

In this weeks challenge I started photographing some artifacts on display in the parking lot and along the street of the Sharlot Hall Museum, an Arizona History Adventure. All of these photos will work for both PPAC and Cee’s Flower of the Day, #FOTD

PPAC Mining Equipment

In the late 1800s, when Prescott was still a new town, mining operations dotted the country-side. You can read about the ghost town of nearby Jerome, AZ and the Verde Valley copper mines. Prescott had its own mining industry. I found these artifacts in the parking lot and visible from the street around the Sharlot Museum

Coming Up

I’ll be back at Writer’s Quotes Wednesdays in two days with a new topic of Exploration. Until then, post your comments on Terri’s post for this week’s topic of Writer’s Choice.

I’m so excited to announce that Cathy Cade will be hosting her friend Wendy Fletcher for August Story Chat. Wendy Fletcher is the leader of Cathy’s u3a writing group. For more information about Story Chat and how you can contribute, see my Story Chat page. Don’t forget that Gary A. Wilson’s story, “Sometimes a Miracle” is still open for comments.

The Photographing Public Art Challenge (PPAC) is already coming up on our fifth post right here on my blog at 9:00 am on Friday. I can’t believe it’s been over a month! Thank you all for your many interesting responses. It’s been fun to travel all over the world through your posts. Please post on Cee’s blog until Friday.

Happy Monday! Have a great week.

Hi, I'm Marsha Ingrao, a retired educator and wife of a retired realtor. My all-consuming hobby is blogging and it has changed my life. My friends live all over the world. In November 2020, we sold everything and retired to the mile-high desert of Prescott, AZ. We live less than five miles from the Granite Dells, four lakes, and hundreds of trails with our dog, Kalev, and two cats, Moji and Nutter Butter. Vince's sister came with us and lives close by. Every day is a new adventure.
