To join in the fun of squares this month, create your square post and include a pingback to any of my daily square posts in July. Don’t forget to use the theme’s tag – TreeSquare, and I’d love it if you left a comment.

Becky B.

In this month’s square’s challenge I will start at home and spiral farther and farther from home to share different tree species in my travels. All of these posts will work for both Becky B’s Squares and Cee’s Flower of the Day, #FOTD

Cee’s Flower of the Day

Indoor Trees that Shed

After reading Becky’s post the other day about the shoe tree, I thought out of the box a bit. Before I escort you out of Arizona, I’m going to retrace my steps and introduce you to this unusual deciduous tree in our home. We find it’s leaves everywhere.

Las Vegas Trees

You would expect out of the box examples from Las Vegas, right? I have photographic proof that this steel-trunked tree in Las Vegas changes when seasons change.

  1. The wisteria looks so realistic. Did you ever take a photo of the sequoias inside the terminal at Fresno airport? They would fit right in here as well.

    1. That’s a great idea. I probably have several of those. If not, you might! You have all the murals in Exeter all in one place. Mine, if I have them are scattered. I probably only have a few, snapped as I was coming or going from somewhere, but never systematic. You don’t often think to be a tourist where you live. 🙂

  2. I love your creative take on these indoor ‘trees”….and glimpses of your fur family as a bonus.
Thank you for another great post!

    1. Thanks, Donna. It was Becky’s shoe tree that inspired it. Why not a cat tree? Moji was happy to oblige. She is a total diva. Loves her picture taken. She has no idea how hard it is to photograph a black cat. 🙂

    1. They’re not real, though Becky B. If you look at the trunks, they are steel. 🙂 I was being silly all the way around. 🙂

  6. LV always has a show of some sort–the fact that they can change their indoor venues to reflect the seasons is quite amazing, Marsha!

    1. It’s an entertainment capital, for sure. And most people spend their time inside rather than outside. 🙂

  8. So, you have cats and a dog. I love the photo of your kitty, and I kind of like the indoor wisteria. 🙂

    1. Yes, you have met Moji. Nutter Butter is our other cat and Kalev or Puppy Girl is our 12-year-old street rescue. They are all rescues, actually. Our world revolves around them much of the time. 🙂 Thanks for the lovely comment, Susan. 🙂
