To join in the fun of squares this month, create your square post and include a pingback to any of my daily square posts in July. Don’t forget to use the theme’s tag – TreeSquare, and I’d love it if you left a comment.

In this month’s square’s challenge I will start at home and spiral farther and farther from home to share different tree species in my travels. All of these posts will work for both Becky B’s Squares and Cee’s Flower of the Day, #FOTD

Sedona, Yeah You Take My Breath Away
The photographs are all mine. The music and lyrics belong to Step

SEDONA BY STEVEN BROWN Woke up to falling rain and a misty mountain sunrise Poured me a cup of hope to get the feeling just right

Step out to face the day and swear to make a difference Walk on out through the fields and I see you in the distance

Opened up my eyes to a flame mountain high 'cause it's you SEDONA yeah you take my breath away it's you SEDONA you make blue skies out of gray

Beyond the castle walls vistas never-ending so clear like Tahoe blue a rainbow of blending

Turn on a stellar song to get the bloodlines pumping Get back to how it felt your first time big beat thumping

Opened up my eyes to a flame mountain high 'cause it's you SEDONA yeah you take my breath away it's you SEDONA

you make blue skies out of gray 'cause it's you SEDONA oh you make it a brighter day it's you SEDONA Like a fine glass of Rosé

it’s one of the place I’ve always wanted to visit, and your photos make it even more inviting. Hopefully there is a chance next Spring to see Sedona and the Grand Canyon, since we will be in Arizona for a wedding!

Beautiful views. These are quite different than any I would see close to home for sure.

We have our own cameras – several each in fact!

Vince does the same thing with my plate of food. He loves to just take a bite. LOL Same with cameras. He’d rather just grab mine for a second.

I just got a new Sony following Cee’s advice to find something that worked better and wasn’t as heavy. Vince is more inclined to use his cell phone – or mine – when he wants to take a quick picture. He doesn’t mind driving me around once in a while to take photos, but they are not his passion any more. He took lots of photos when he was a young man and felt he missed out on the events. So he might take one to ten pictures at a car show to my 50 or 60.

Great memories of visiting Sedona on our AZ/UT road-trip decades ago! I love that last shot through the wineglass – just the sort of thing I like to experiment with 🙂

That was my husband’s eye. He took one and then I did. That may be his, I’m not sure. He has an amazing eye sometimes.

We sometimes take advantage of a shot the other has spotted, but once taken we keep our photos very separate so I always know which are mine! Interestingly we sometimes think we’ve taken the same shot, more or less, but when we compare notes later the images are quite different from each other because we see tings differently 🙂

Sometimes he asks to use my camera or phone, so that’s a little hard for us. He doesn’t do anything with his photos other than share them with his son or once in a while on Facebook, so it’s not an issue. When I know he took it for sure, I give him credit on my blog, but it isn’t something that is an issue with him. I just love to see what he comes up with sometimes.

Thanks, Brian. You are always welcome to visit. It’s a long flight, but well worth it.

We drive by the exit to Sedona at least twice a year on I-17. We need to revisit those beautiful red rocks and cliffs.

Those rocks are some of the most stunning I’ve ever seen anywhere, John. I never tire of it but I remember being awestruck the first time I visited.

It’s been many years since I’ve been to Sedona. Thanks for the reminders!

You’re welcome. There’s not much I loved more than the beach, but Sedona and the beautiful rocks in Prescott are top contenders.
