Now I know the theme is trees but the rules clearly state there is only one rule and that is your photograph must be square in shape!
Becky B
So Becky gave us permission to have blurry trees in the background. Cool!
In this month’s square’s challenge I will start at home and spiral farther and farther from home to share different tree species in my travels. All of these posts will work for both Becky B’s #TreeSquares and Cee’s Flower of the Day, #FOTD

Prescott Walk #15C Prescott National Forest: Lynx Lake
Vince surprised me with a quick ride to get out of the house for a bit after the temperature had cooled to 96 degrees. It turned into a photo shoot – without my new camera and in my flip flops.
We didn’t walk too far. The sun would set in less than an hour. This was Vince’s favorite picture.

These were not as spectacular, but my guess is that the first two are probably pines. The third one looks like one that I took on Blooming Hills, so it might be a spruce. The last one shows how desperately it needs a drink.
Coming Up
The July 7th Writer’s Quotes Wednesdays will be hosted by Sunday Still’s hostess, Terri Webster Schrandt. Please visit her site on Wednesday. For more information see my #WQWWC Page

Great images. I’m loving all the trees this month – it’s a great excuse to be revisiting the photos.

I agree, Jo. Almost every outdoor picture has trees! Did you see Becky’s post yesterday? She always gets us thinking outside the box, or in her case sometimes inside the box. 🙂

I think that I shall never see a poem lovely as a tree… or something like that anyway. >grin<
Seriously, that silhouette in the opening image is fabulous!

You are always welcome. I had a great lesson with Cee yesterday, and she taught me how to use Bridge to square up my photos. That will shave off hours, days from my preparation time for Squares.

I do. She says very nice things about you. I feel I know you better because of her. We are both very lucky to know her and have her as a good friend. I tell her all the time that I don’t want to wear out my welcome because she is so helpful to me and I feel that she brings a lot more to the table. She started a group of photographers over here much like you have – based on your model, I’m sure. It is such a blessing to be part of the group and share stories, lives, blogging difficulties, and ideas with each other. She is a real leader in the world of blogging and photography. Sorry to babble on like this. You can’t see the forest for my words! 🙂

always happy to hear praise about Cee – she’s such a superstar in the blogging world. I will never ever forget the first time she featured me, felt like I had won Olympic gold.
Our group is much more chatty I think than the lovely one she has set up as most of us have met in person and so tend to natter rather than share blogging tips and ideas. However like you say it is a blessing to be part of such a group.

We have not met in person, except for Terri Webster Schrandt and me. We are spread all over the Americas from Canada to Mexico and from Florida to Oregon and places in between. I don’t know how we’d ever all be able to meet in person. I’m envious that you have, though.

Yes, so small in comparison to all of North America. 🙂
