….join the fun and post any photos of trios that you’ve taken

Mama Cormier

It seems that most things occur naturally in pairs, unless you are a decorator, then you need trios for balance. Since my balance is bad, and I’m not a decorator, I struggle even thinking in trios, but I adore my blogging friend Carol who hosts Thursday Trios.

Be creative if you feel like it, and fun with this challenge this week. Remember your photos needs to be black and white, desaturated, sepia (brown tones) or selective color.  I’m looking forward to seeing what you all come up.

I’m also submitting this for CBWC: trees and tree parts. You can’t live this close to the Prescott National Forest and not have a tree in every picture. Besides it’s Becky B’s #TreeSquare month.

Prescott Car Show – Touchmark #2

Okay, honestly, I also want to show off a few more of my Touchmark Car Show pictures because I handed out my new ID card to people to check on my blog for their pictures. I’m not selling anything, but a lot of times people ask me why I’m taking pictures. Just telling them you blog makes most of their eyes cloud over. The ID card is an easy fix. It doesn’t have any contact information but my blog so I don’t get overwhelmed nor do they.

Before the mini-monsoon that hit after noon, the temperature was a mild 92 or so in the shade.

Only one smart person in the bunch.

This might also be a tent show. Three observers discuss the possibilities. About every third car around Prescott is a Jeep. Or at least in this post that’s the ratio. Remember playing the Bug game when you saw a Volkswagen Beetle? We play Jeep Jeep.

three friends, a car, and a tree

I wondered how I was going to use the blind shot taken of the name when I didn’t get the whole name. You can really see the pearlized effect that Jim and Linda added when they repainted the car the original color plus pearl. Yummy!

You wouldn’t trust you luck with a pair of three’s in Yatzee or Poker, but in a Mustang all rules are different.

Thank you Lisa Coleman from Our Eyes Open – the Bird Weekly Challenge for designing my new ID card to give people when I’m out taking pictures at car shows and other public events.

Have a great week. See you tomorrow for #PPAC #3 – a big surprise.

  1. Thanks Marsha for your original trios. You’re right that most things appear in twos and it’s a bit more challenging finding trios. I love your creativity.

    1. Thanks, Carol. I had fun doing them. I took some more pictures of threes. I just have to be intentional. 🙂

      1. I also have to be intentional and literally seek out trios on my walks.

        1. I’m there. We went to a new friend’s house. The lady with the pink Mustang at the Prescott Touchmark Car show, invited us over. The first thing I did was take pictures of all her trios. How rude! But she is a fabulous photographer as well, and gave me permission. She even arranged some things more artistically, which you will see on Thursday. 🙂

          1. I’m looking forward to that. I’m going to the library at the art gallery that I belong to and I’ll be looking for trios while I’m there.

          2. And if you don’t find one, knowing how creative you are, you will make one. 🙂

  2. I love your comparison photos. The black and white go awesome with the subjects! You have some really awesome business cards and now you are out and about handing them out. Woohoo! We’ve seen those tent systems at REI which is one of our favorite stores. 🙂

  4. Used to attend a few car shows in other lifetime with another husband. He was a Porsche lover on an enlisted soldier’s salary. The car shows were fun and the people very friendly. And as I recall, there were trees!!

    1. That sound like my husband now. He had one for a while, but sold it. It was fun, but not fun enough to strap yourself down in my opinion. I never drove it.

    1. Thanks, Cee. You know what would be helpful is to create a list of Challenge Key Words, common theme that challenge hosts often run, to help newbies organize their photos with tags. In fact, if might be a great post to invite any hosts out there that would like to contribute.

  6. I’m always amazed at the turnout at car shows, Marsha. I would be that lady sitting down, LOL! Our friend who stopped by two months ago had that same tent on his Toyota FJ. He’s been camping in Montana. Pretty cool rig. I’m looking forward to hosting WQW next week and even have a bird weekly post combining with freedom scheduled for tomorrow. You’re going to love it!

    1. I can’t wait to see it. I came back to Scottsdale again today. We had a package sent from Mattress Firm and it was left sitting by the front door. Vince is exhausted and wasn’t planning to come until next week, so I came down. Almost everything is done. Putting clean bedding and mattress covers on both beds and last minute stuff and it’s ready to go! Yay! It’s super cute.

        1. No trees inside, so I can’t do a #TreeSquare post. LOL
