This week we are going to explore your favorite vacations, whether they are just in the planning or happened years ago. Vacations can take place any where in the world at any time, but in my childhood at least, most of them happened in the summer. In retirement in a place like Prescott, AZ, almost every day is a vacation.
Someone once said, if nothing bad happens on a vacation, you won’t remember it. Is that true in your life, or do you remember the good ones? I remember the ones where I take pictures. If I forget to pull out my camera, the vacation blurs into all the other great moments of life. And sometimes they blur on the digital camera, too. 🙂
What about when people come to see you? I count that as a vacation. We stop everything and play – do what our company would most enjoy and we enjoy it too.
Do vacations have to be with other people? I took a vacation once in our trailer to do NanNoWriMo and start my book. It was odd having my time completely to myself to write, take walks, stay up late or sleep in the middle of the day. I got my 50,000 words written and I was ready to go home! 🙂
