This week, Lens-Artist, Amy brings to us LAPC #153 “It’s a wonderful world” from Louis Armstrong ‘s song, “What A Wonderful World.” This post also works for Cee’s FOTD Challenge

My Wonderful Life

I see trees of green
Red roses too
I see them bloom
For me and you…
I see skies of blue
And clouds of white
The bright blessed day
The dark sacred night…
The colors of the rainbow
So pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces
Of people going by
I see friends shaking hands
Saying, “How do you do?”
They’re really saying
“I love you”
Yes, I think to myself
What a wonderful world

Coming Up

Happy weekend. Have a wonderful week.

  6. HA!!! 😂 I loved scrolling through the quality photos interspersed with the song, and the great old old Porsche, but the LAST one was hilarious! Totally incongruous. Perfect!

    1. But he thought it was a wonderful world. What can I say? He was probably seeing it for the first time, and he landed in Sedona. What could be more beautiful?

  7. and sorry we did not connect via email – but I se the new challenge is here (is this the one you were talking about?) the photographing public art?

    1. Yes, Photographing Public Art. A brainstorm I had after reading one of PhotosbyJohn’s post when I interviewed him. I mulled it over quite a bit, chatted with Cee about it, and she volunteered to co-host it with me. So she’s doing PPAC #2 this Friday. Once I talked to her, she lit a fire under me and voila, it happened. I might have procrastinated for years.

      1. well that little story reminds me of why partnering with someone can be good for a few reasons – like it can prevent the procrastination – but it also shared the workload – that is a plus – and then ! gives someone else the chance to co-lead – and not that Cee “needed” that because she has been hosting for so long (and has given away challenges over the years) but you know what I mean – it can just be good…

and already I have seen a couple posts linked to the theme – just got back from Lisa (@dailymusings) and this challenge sounds like it will be a celebration of so many different types of art – and also will be a nice fit into the mix of challenges you already do – because you did not read have anything like this in your line up.
best wishes and I look forward o following along – even if it is an observer – bu we will see how it flows and rolls

        1. Cee volunteered, so I was more than overjoyed. She doesn’t need any more to do, but she is so kind and good to me, not to mention talented. I love that you visit the people in the community. Public Art is a natural fit for you because you typically share art on your blog from time to time as you share your street shots. Thanks for your great comment and encouragement. It means a lot, Yvette. 🙂

          1. well I did fund some public art and added it to my Sunday stills post today (hope you all do not mind a combined challenge kind of post)
and now that you mention this topic I think it will be a lot easier to find public art (for some reason was maybe thinking it would be tough)
AND it seems lek you and See will rock this

    1. Isn’t she sweet? I fell in love with her as soon as I saw her. She was at the car show, and her mom knew our friend who had her car on display. She was shy until I had her move to the car and take her picture. Then poof – she bloomed. I only took one shot, and it turned out exactly as you see it. 🙂

          4. Yes, I wake up in wonder every day, Jim. It’s worth the dry skin. We use a lot of cream. CA was dry as well and hotter, so this is a break!

          6. It is. You can always cream up. You can’t always wake up in a beautiful place, although, there are so many beautiful places in the world. Each one has its own beauty. 🙂
