Today Cee Neuner puts out an all call for Stuffed Animals or Pets on her Black and White Challenge. Raggedy Ann is not really a stuffed animal unless you consider the human animal, but unlike my last doll, Mary Louise, she is stuffed.

Puppy Girl Would Like to Introduce Her “Friends”

Puppy Girl approves that these stuffed toys sit on their own throne out of sight, out of mind. She also likes the clarity of my new Sony camera.

The last time Puppy Girl had a photo session with her stuffed friends she was five months old and had just moved in with us. This picture was taken with my Canon Rebel XTi, which was also new. Now she is nearly twelve. She didn’t like them when she was a baby. Some things don’t change.

Coming Soon

Starting tomorrow Cee Neuner and I will co-host Photographing Public Art Challenge a new and exciting photo challenge. What is public art? Here is a definition of public art.

    1. I like both, but the ability to do color pop is such a fun technology. How have you been? You were on my mind as I walked this morning.

          2. Well, our new one posted a half hour ago. I’ve had two comments so far. They start out small and slow, like kids, then pretty soon I’m sure I’ll be going nuts – or my husband will. Right now it’s manageable. 🙂

    1. Thank you, Roberta. You should post pics on Cee’s challenge! Have you ever used them in a story? I used Manny, my bear a lot at one time. He’s traveled all over the world by himself, and has his own blog. It’s been a long time since he’s written anything, but it was sure fun. Some of the posts are on this blog as well. https://wordpress.com/home/mannystravels.wordpress.com

  6. Really nice, Marsha. I enjoyed these photos of Raggedy Ann and friends, as well as Puppy Girl. The photo with just a little red was interesting too.

    1. Thanks, I’m getting some coaching from Cee with my new Sony camera, so I’m experimenting with f-stops and also a little with the processing. I’m amazing at how much you can change a photo with a few little clicks.

      1. I took one photography class for a traditional camera, but I find it quite complicated. I’m so accustomed to digital photography now and different tools that make it easy. Anyway, I enjoyed your photos and subject matter. 🙂 You inspired me to do my own entry with photos of some of the cute animals I watch. The public art challenge coming up sounds fun too.

        1. Yay, Susan! I’m so excited. I grew up with an amateur photographer turned college photography teacher. I never got it. I used a Brownie as a kid. I took most of my pictures for my blog using my cell phone and the automatic setting on my digital camera. Cee is helping me with aperture this week. My first lesson was putting on the strap, believe it or not! 🙂 Talk about feeling a little dumb!!! 🙂

          1. Oh dear. Who knows? Maybe, I’d have the same problem with the strap. I guess that’s all part of it. 😛 🙂

          2. I doubt it. But neither Vince nor I could figure it out. It was so simple, when Cee showed me on hers. But I needed step by step instructions, and they weren’t included. LOL

    1. Thanks, my husband and I have gone a little crazy with the stuffed animals. I thought about leaving some behind, but they are like friends. 🙂

        1. They do. They’ve even done some marital counseling in the past. I may have written a post about Nurse Rabbit. I can’t find it, but here’s my original post on the stuffed animals and Puppy Girl. https://alwayswrite.blog/2013/01/11/happy-ohio-star/
