The challenge today
This week, we’re thinking about size–from large to small. For this challenge, pick a color and select several photos that feature that color. Start with a photo of a big subject in that color (for example, a wall) and move all the way down to a small subject in that same color (for example, an earring).

Oh, how I love this collection, Marsha! The Venetian shoe is gorgeous, and the quilt is so sweet – cannot pick a favourite though. They are all special.

Thanks, Leya. I had a lot of fun with this challenge. 🙂 I love the shoe best, I think. I had forgotten I even took it. 🙂

Great variety of selections for this challenge, Marsha. I love the colour turquoise and all shades blue, and love to see many pops of these colours you presented here. You looked like you were having a good time at the car show. It’s great they let you sit in the VW for a bit of fun and pose 😄 One time I went to a vintage carshow here in Melbourne and they let me and my friend sit in one of the colourful vintage cars when we asked.

That’s so much fun. Did you get pictures? It gets you involved in the cars. That’s one of the reasons I love going to car shows. When my husband had his own car and just had to sit with it waiting for people to come to him, it drove me nuts. I enjoy walking and talking to people and taking pictures of the ones I like. Now we just go our separate ways and both take pictures, meet up, share, talk, walk around together, then get sidetracked by the cars we like. Then we both don’t feel shackled. 🙂 Thanks for your thoughtful comment. 🙂

Yes, my friend and I got pictures in the vintage cars, and one one a vintage firetruck too 🙂 That is sensible of you and your husband to go your own ways and do what you like, and then meet up – and you both have a good time. You don’t have to do everything together as a couple, and it’s always good to meet in the middle 🙂

What fun, Marsha! A great collection. I enjoyed it–especially the photo of you (am I right?) in the VW!

Yes, that was me. The owner and I talked for quite a while, he asked me if I wanted to sit in it and have my picture taken. Who could refuse that offer?

Interesting challenge. Turquoise is a pretty color, and you know I love that Bug. 🙂 You had quite an interesting selection of photos.

Yes. You in the car was darling. I loved this mainly because I’m passionate about color, but I also liked the idea of subjects according to graduated size. Very good, Marsh.

I love your collection, Marsha, especially the one you were in the cute car. The quilt is very special!

Thanks, Amy. The quilt was made by a friend. When I was in CA, one of my favorite events to attend was the Best of Valley Quilt Show. The array of beautiful quilts and dolls would make your head spin, but they made a great photo shoot. 🙂 Have a great week this week.

Thanks, Sarah. I tried to follow Patti’s suggestions. It made a puzzle or game because I couldn’t remember the actual size of some of the items. I had to guess.

Yes, I puzzled over a few of mine, especially a photo of a bee on a large sunflower – did that count as quite big (the flower) or small (the stripes on the bee)?!

Judgement calls. I told Patti it reminded me of a game called Timeline. You’d love it!

Wowza Marsha! Great job on this one, and early too!!! Loved all of your examples (the little car was my fav of this set) and the way you presented them in order. Great!!

Thanks, Tina. Yes, can you believe I was early? We’ve been so busy recently, I’m loosing track of the days. Seriously, I hurried over to Patti’s on Friday, hoping to be early, and she hadn’t even posted it yet! Then it hit me! LOL We have company coming for the next three days, so I wanted to get all my posts done.

very clever transitions from one photo to the next. I love the color of those handrails in Maui…and the location sounds even better…

I’m ready to go back! I want to wait until winter though. In CA it didn’t matter to me. Summer heat was just as bad, if not worse than the winter cold. Here it’s significantly colder in the winter and bearable in the summer. 🙂

I’ve never been to Maui, not sure if it is on our bucket list since we have already been lucky enough to have been to a couple of the other Hawaiian Islands

I am looking forward to completing this challenge… You put together quite a large assortment of items arranged by size and in the same color. Good work!

I kind of overdid it. It would have been much easier with fewer pictures. Just a tip. 🙂

Thanks, Debbie. The Challenge was a little harder than I thought it would be. I tend to make things more difficult and complicated by adding more and more and more. But I had fun doing it. 🙂

I tend to ‘overthink’ things at times and make it harder for myself! We have a few things in common 🙂 You did really well.

I’m doing well, Marsha. California will lift the restrictions in a week. The gym is open and I started going swimming. I’m raising butterflies in my garden 🐛🦋.
