Amy challenged Lens-Artists participants on Saturday to display photos of gardens, and showed some spectacular gardens, especially one I loved in Portland, OR. Check out more Garden Entries by clicking Amy’s link.
Vince and I went to Las Vegas this week, and my goal was to take some pictures of the Bellagio spring gardens. They change the gardens completely every season, and this season did not disappoint.
There is something here for everyone, so I’m going to break this into several posts.
Las Vegas Bellagio Gardens Walk #1
The Dutch Tulip Garden Part one
Entering the Bellagio probably five or six hundred people could socially distance in the foyer, maybe more. It is so huge, it’s hard to estimate. Because of COVID 19, everyone wore masks inside all of the buildings, unless you smoked while you gambled, then you could go without one!
We lined up to go inside the gardens then followed the designated pathway. It made it easier to get close enough to take pictures.
As we entered, looking to the right was the tulip garden with the huge red clogs and the windmill. The spaced multiple colors of tulips about three inches apart.
These exquisite shoes were not for sale, nor could any feet fill them. You get some idea of the size looking at the people walking by the display on their way out. That avenue in front of the windmill, was cordoned off to us, which is why there is a part one and two of the Dutch garden.
Here you can see the fabulous details painted on the shoe. I could have submitted this for Lisa’s Bird Weekly if they were perched on something. This windmill is for Restless Jo’s Monday Walk where she takes you to see a different style of windmill in her post. The tulips are for Cee’s FOTD where she has posted the most gorgeous bearded iris. The purple one is for Jude’s Life in Colour on her blog, Travel Words. Her choice this month is purple.
I love this picture because you get the overview in Vince’s cell phone and you get some details of the tulips and the mosaic marble floor. You can even see some of the ceiling in Vince’s picture.
