We take sunshine for granted, but nothing is more beautiful and more beneficial to life. Thank you Ana, Lens-Artist Guest Host for this lovely theme, “The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow.”

The photos below come mostly from the tiny ranching community of Elderwood outside of the the small town of Woodlake, California. One picture comes from Sedona, Slick Rock, and one from the coast.

No matter where we are, there are times that the beauty of sunshine takes our breath away and gives us the sense of well-being at the same time. The quotes are mostly from Goodreads. Where do you find your best quotes?

“The sun is a daily reminder that we too can rise again from the darkness, that we too can shine our own light.”

S. Ajna

“If your life is constantly full of sunshine where each day is transformed into beauty and each worldly gift is yours to use, then you are one of a few.”

Byron Pulsifer
Bravo Lake in Woodlake, CA

“Ô, Sunlight! The most precious gold to be found on Earth.”

Roman Payne

“Sunlight makes the world come alive, so have a day filled with sunshine.”

Anthony T Hincks

“If you have extra to spare, share some of your sunshine with others. Those who are in a dark place may just need that small break in the their clouds to see some sunlight again.”

Christine E. Szymanski

“Look at the bright side of life and the bright side will look at you. The reflections we send out always return.”

 Ron Baratono

“It is within the sunshine of positive outlooks that we can feel the warmth needed to surpass the shadow of life’s challenges.”

Natasha Potter

“Sun will also retry to shine tomorrow then why not you.”

Rajesh Walecha

    1. Isn’t that fun? That was Avila Beach, not Hawaii, wasn’t it?

      1. No, I think it was Hawaii. There’s no island off Avila Beach is there?

        1. No. Must be Hawaii. I didn’t look at the date. Rushing to find pics to match the challenge. I love the pic, though.

    1. Thank you, Donna. I always wonder where people find such great quotes. Tina always has great quotes that often have to do with photography. Hope you have a great week! 🙂

  8. Thanks so much for joining us Marsha with what I’m sure is a monstrously long list of things to do. Good luck with the appraisal – keep us posted! Are you moving full-time to AZ??? Loved your images and your quotes are perfect with them. The sunflower is a hoot!! I often use goodreads as I find they have unique and different offerings from most other quote sites. And now and then I find a good book along the way 😊 Finally, belated birthday greetings. I’m the 13th so apparently it’s a great month in which to be born!

    1. November is a great month. Vince is the 25th, my grandfather was the 14th, my first husband’s was the 22nd. So happiest birthday on Friday. Yes, if our appraisal comes in high enough, Vince takes off with the U-Haul on your birthday or the next day. The three of us, Vince and I and his sister will move full-time to AZ. We have loved visiting, so we will see how we like living there. Our list is monstrously long, but day by day we check off all the things we need to do. We are very excited about it. I love the quotes you find to go with your pictures. That’s what inspired me to look for some good quotes to go with my photos. I enjoy your challenge so much. I know how much work you all put into it especially by visiting all your participants and writing more than “Nice Job.” Thank you for that. 🙂

      1. My brother-in-law turned 94 on 11/4 and is sharp as a tack. I have several friends with November birthdays as well. Maybe we’re all Valentine’s Day babies LOL! Thanks for the comment about the quotes, as you know it’s hard working finding just the right sentiment! My brother lives outside of Scottsdale but has another home in Colorado – the best of 2 seasons I think. We love visiting them in both places.

        1. Wow! My mom’s cousin is about that age, I think 95. He lives in Delaware, and I’ve been there a couple of times. Scottsdale and Colorado are both beautiful places. Where about in CO? We used to live in Colorado Springs. I loved it there.

          1. We had good friend there and loved to visit them. Sadly he passed away. My brother is in Evergreen, about 30 minutes from Denver

          2. We loved Colorado Springs once we got used to the altitude. When we first moved there we could hardly keep our eyes open around 2:00 in the afternoon. Once we adjusted, we were fine. We drove up to Pikes Peak and walked around a bit. My dad and my husband’s mom couldn’t even walk around the air was so thin.

  11. Oh happy birthday yesterday, Marsha! Love your sunny pics! My brother commented yesterday they are enjoying some upper 80s in the Scottsdale area all week. You are going to move to perpetual sun! You must be thisclose to moving! We list this week and we are getting excited!

    1. Wow, it will sell like hotcakes. Better be ready to move in 30 days or so. It’s a ride! We are pretty much cleared up and packed. We are still waiting for the appraisal report. Vince is supposed to take off on Saturday. It’s pouring today. Is it raining there? We have had hail for about 30-40 minutes. 🙂

      1. We can be ready by mid December, Marsha! No rain, here, just cold and sunny, with some wind. Our pest inspection went through with flying colors, and pre-inspection coming this Tuesday. We elected to carpet the living room and hallway and that is tomorrow. Move the clutter for pics Tuesday and we’re off and running!

        1. Awesome! We have to have the house tented, so that is Nov. 17-18, but we should be gone by then. The pictures sell the house, so that is super. Be prepared, you are going to be running. How much are you asking?

          1. We may get to the 340K range. Our realtor has a pro-photographer coming, someone we know from windsurfing and he’ll be sure to make it look stunning!

          2. That’s the key! So are you feeling okay other than the repressed ability to smell? You can breathe okay. I just found out that a friend of mine, her husband is on a ventilator and is not doing well. He is not super old, and I didn’t think he was unhealthy.

          3. I feel fine! We are sleeping more, which is much needed, and perhaps why we feel better. I’m sorry to hear about your friend’s husband. Covid is a strange infection!

          4. Sleeping is a good thing. We kind of go to sleep when it gets dark. It’s so hard to keep ourselves up if we are home alone after working hard all day. Then we are up, raring to go at midnight! I’m about to fall asleep right now. LOL.

Happy Belated Birthday. We both share Nov 7 as our day of birth. 😀

    1. Yes, mine was just a lot sooner than yours! We have a connection, lots of connections, though! I’ll be over soon to check out your challenges. I’m between moving boxes today, and one going away party. Vince leaves on Friday if our appraisal comes in strong on Wednesday. Otherwise, we could be staying in our beautiful sparkly clean house. 🙂

    1. Thank you Kumar. The sun is a wonderful subject. It doesn’t get blown by the wind, or close its eyes or act silly. It’s the perfect spot of brilliance for every photo.
