Lens-Artists Challenge #120 – What A Treat!

If you have any wild animal pictures or are going on a safari in the next 50 years or so, Tina’s hints she picked up from a Zoom class will improve your chances of getting a good shot. The Lens Artists make photography exciting. They are all stunning, even if you don’t participate in the challenge. Meanwhile, don’t forget the about your Carrot Ranch “Git Along Dogies” Rodeo Contest #3 Monday Deadline 12:00 am PDT. That gives you easterners a few extra hours. 🙂

Travels and Trifles

“Travel , photography and wilderness are my addictions….And I’m happy with that…”

There are many terrible aspects of the COVID 19 pandemic, too numerous to count really. On the other hand, there are a few positives as well. This week I experienced the latter – which in the spirit of Halloween week here in the U.S., I am calling “quite a treat”. Thanks to COVID, our local photography club has been able to enlist some well-known photographers who would otherwise be leading group photography tours around the world. At home instead, they have welcomed the opportunity to teach groups via Zoom. This week we were honored to host renowned wildlife photographer Kathleen Reeder, who joined us from her home in Arizona.

    • I agree, Donna. Tina and all the Lens Artists are phenomenal. Hope I spelled that correctly, no red squiggly lines. 🙂 I learn something new every time. Who knew you have to keep in the tail? I guess it’s like cutting of people’s feet is a no no. 🙂

  1. Ohhhh. TULARE COUNTY history. OMGoodness! My maternal grandfather, Harvey J. Bane, was a Methodist minister in Visalia in the late 1960s, possibly early ’70s (he passed away 1972). Smmmmall world. 🙂

    • Very small world. We moved to Visalia in 1985. I found out that a distant relative of mine was also a pastor in Visalia in the 1940s or 50s I think. At any rate, one of the teachers I worked with purchased a podium that came from his church from about the same time he was there – probably his. It is a small world. Have you ever been here, John?

Hi, I'm Marsha Ingrao, a retired educator and wife of a retired realtor. My all-consuming hobby is blogging and it has changed my life. My friends live all over the world. In November 2020, we sold everything and retired to the mile-high desert of Prescott, AZ. We live less than five miles from the Granite Dells, four lakes, and hundreds of trails with our dog, Kalev, and two cats, Moji and Nutter Butter. Vince's sister came with us and lives close by. Every day is a new adventure.
