This week Terry Webster Schrandt chose #sky as her theme for #Sunday Stills today, July 12, 2020.

Sunset over the Sierra Nevada foothills

Apple says I have 11, 744 pictures with sky in them. Murky, dusty, dull gray, hailing, rain, foggy skies, sunrises, sunsets, one-sixteenth of a pixel or a whole photo. The photo app did not differentiate between skies. It’s up to me (a human) to choose. Yay! I feel so validated!

a web-shaped skylight covering. Trees and vines grew from inside the caves up through the skylights.

If you go to Fresno, California, you must stop at the Underground Gardens. One talented man dug his amazing underground home and garden from hardpan. This is one view in a central area of the home. It’s not covered. Rain comes in, but it soaks into the hard ground and doesn’t enter the living area of the underground home.

They don’t give tours in the winter. It’s a cool 55 degrees in the middle of 108 summer temperatures, so it makes a great respite from the heat.

Prop plane

I seldom fly in a prop plane, but for a while we had service from Visalia, CA to Ontario, CA. It took about an hour to fly the distance which was much more comfortable and less expensive than a four-hour drive through Los Angeles traffic. Little did I expect this beautiful view.

This picture doesn’t even look like it has a real sky. Traveling from Visalia to the Central Valley Coast, you transverse a rolling desert with lines and lines of cars all going or coming back from the coast. One either side of the two-lane highway you could be in the middle of nowhere. Only one truck driving on a side road marred this view. Most of the time the sky is a cloudless dusty blue but this was one day in a million.

I hope you enjoyed my Sunday Stills. Watch for Terri’s interview coming on Tuesday as #3 in the series on Challenges.

Loved your capture of the prop spinning on your prop plane flight Marsha, that’s a tough one to catch! Terrific skies, and LOL for your number of images to choose from!!

The last beautiful skyline I saw was last week when I was flying home at sunset. It was beyond gorgeous.

I had posted all about my flight home-the mountain pics were beautiful too, but it revealed too much personal info and I had to delete it as I was concerned since he stalks my blog. Doing good, how are you?

I left you a message on Medium. Would you like to write a guest post for me about using Medium? I’m interested in trying it. If so, let us all know how it is working for you. Did you upgrade?

I would love to, thank you! I did not upgrade, but I like Medium as a medium haha. Without doing a whole lot, I have almost 1500 followers.

Wow! So your x doesn’t know about Medium, then. That’s amazing that you got so many followers. When do you think you could write it? Also, I’d be happy to do a guest post for you on your new account. That might get me started. I just opened up an account today.

I don’t THINK he knows I’m on Medium but I can’t be 100% sure because my analytics don’t work there. The first person he had an affair with-his cook- was on my blog a lot so I went private for a long time, but during one of the last times I communicated with him, I let him know I was disgusted that she was looking at the posts about how happy we were (which I ultimately deleted completely) Since then, I don’t believe she’s visited, but I don’t really know. It’s all so sordid. Regarding another blog, the situation is specific and the maritime community is relatively small, there’d be no way that he wouldn’t eventually find out.

Wow, I’m so sorry you’ve had to go through all that. It sounds awful. I’m glad you are out of the relationship.

That is so sad! Have you thought about starting a different blog under a different name? It sounds like he is obsessed with you. I hope he is not dangerous. You can live with and ignore someone who is obsessed even though it is bothersome, but not anger and vindictiveness.
Liane Moriarty wrote a great book about a woman who stalked a former boyfriend. It’s a totally different angle, but it kind of gives an in to the mind set of a stalker. It’s called the Hypnotist’s Love Story.. It is such a good read. Liane is the same author who wrote Big Little Lies that was a series.

Sadly, books and films on that subject are still triggers for me, so I stay away, but thank you. I have diagnosed PTSD now and am healing. I can’t say for sure he’s physically dangerous but he’s extremely disordered and I do have enough documentation to initiate a restraining order process. He seems to have stopped overt stuff now, but I’m aware he’s covert too. I have def thought of a new blog based on the journal I started when this all began–also the basis for a book/film treatment, but I haven’t yet. Remembering and reading the details of the initial shock and pain is still something I can’t wrap my brain around.

I certainly don’t want to make it any worse for you. I will be praying for you. I hope you are in a safe place. Having been on lockdown, I’m sure did not help. Let me know how I can help.

Lockdown was a sanctuary for me, not a problem! But thank you so very much for your concern, I really really appreciate it.

I’m pretty much of a loner now after learning how I was effectively minimized and self-diminished over the course of 29 years. I’ve learned lots of healing tools and modalities that helped me understand how I became a stepford wife. My story is a good one, if I can ever tell it!
