Book Marketing on a Shoestring Review by D.G. Kaye

D.G. Kaye reviewed Book Marketing on a Shoestring on her blog. It’s a book that she recommends that all indie writers should have on their bookshelves.  She shares thorough highlights of each chapter Have a look. Let me know what you think.

Book Marketing

Today’s book review is on one of the best books I have ever read on everything to do with marketing our books, from platform building to publishing and marketing, a cornucopia of information, Marketing on a Shoestring by Doris-Maria Heilmann.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Doris’ work, she is one of the pioneers in the Indie marketing business for 30 years. Doris is a book publishing consultant and coaches writers privately and runs several public seminars. She is also the owner of the well-known website, Savvybookwriters.com, a site that I couldn’t recommend enough for all writers to be following for her ongoing tips and updates about what’s current in the publishing world.

A Word About D. G. Kaye

My good friend Debby writes prolifically from her heart. Even more, she promotes other authors both on her blog, DG Kaye Writer and on through social media. The G in her name must stand for Generous. You will want to spend time and get to know her.

  1. Thank you so much for sharing my review here on Doris’ excellent book, Marsha. And thank you so much for your kind compliment. You’re such a doll! Oh, and sorry I couldn’t thank you when you left comment that you had posted this, I found the comment in spam! It allowed me to move it out of spam and post it but not reply. Sheesh, these gremlins in WP can get the best of us sometimes. 🙂 I’m sharing around! Thanks again. ❤

    • I’ve noticed that it’s been up all over the world! You are welcome to any of mine, too, by the way. I need to establish a much more open door policy. I can’t keep up with a schedule by myself. And it helps others to have exposure to different readers, as you know.

    • I hope it does soon. You are so talented. Renovations take so much longer than you ever expect them to take, don’t they? Are you working someplace else in the meantime?

Hi, I'm Marsha Ingrao, a retired educator and wife of a retired realtor. My all-consuming hobby is blogging and it has changed my life. My friends live all over the world. In November 2020, we sold everything and retired to the mile-high desert of Prescott, AZ. We live less than five miles from the Granite Dells, four lakes, and hundreds of trails with our dog, Kalev, and two cats, Moji and Nutter Butter. Vince's sister came with us and lives close by. Every day is a new adventure.
