Does This Look Walkable?
Within our county in California, we have the tallest peak in the lower 48 states, Mt. Whitney. Vince and I talked about hiking up it with a friend two years ago, but have I told you that I tip over sometimes without reason? We both opted against it. The top of Australia does not look as forbidding. What do you think?

When I was young, my family went on a caravanning holiday to the Snowy Mountains. While we were there we climbed Australia’s highest mountain, Mt Kosciuszko. Dad was able to drive to within 700 meters of the peak, and we left the car at Rawson’s Pass to walk up the track to the top.

I think I could do this one! If there’s a trail and I don’t have to hang onto rocks to get up, then I’m a go. Oh, except downhill. My knees hurt going downhill. Hmmm, think I could take a cable car or somethin’ for the way down? 🙂

It’s an easy walk according to Carol.

I hope you all hike to the top of Australia. The views would probably be fabulous and we would love to see it! Justin also?

Justin and Manny are together again. A few native Australian animals have joined the menagerie.
