I’m usually tempted to buy something new in Hawaii when none of my summer clothes fit by vacation time, or the day got suddenly cool, and I forgot a sweater. On this occasion, the temptation passed.
Even from a different angle it looked odd.
Finally, something more sane, hanging on a hanger.
Tons of them. All different sizes and colors. Which one would you pick?

Hi, I’m Marsha Ingrao, a retired educator and wife of a retired realtor. My all-consuming hobby is blogging and it has changed my life. My friends live all over the world. In November 2020, we sold everything and retired to the mile-high desert of Prescott, AZ. We live less than five miles from the Granite Dells, four lakes, and hundreds of trails with our dog, Kalev, and two cats, Moji and Nutter Butter. Vince’s sister came with us and lives close by. Every day is a new adventure.

These look a little crazy and comic-book, Marsha. I don’t think I’d be seen wearing one 😉

Shucks! I can really see you in one of these. When I come to Australia, I shouldn’t bring you one??? 🙂

Where did you see these? They are certainly very bright.

They were at Whaler’s Village a few years ago. I wish you could have been to that museum. The whole mall looked bad during construction. Bummer! 🙂 Oh well, you had visual overload once you left Maui! 🙂

Usually don’t shop based on the mannequins.. these certainly are different!

These mannequins are certainly eye catching, if not our style. I believe their purpose is to replace the need for sunscreen, thus saving the environment of the ocean. 🙂

No, I definitely would give these a wide swerve, Marsha. Don’t want to frighten the children do we? 😀

I think the children are trying to frighten us! 🙂

Nope….not today. Maybe when I was much younger.

I think they are designed to protect wearers from sunburn without having to wear sunscreen which pollutes the water. I’m not sure, though.

These are definitely odd. I’ve seen some of my students wear something similar and we always have to tell them to take off the hood. It’s freaky when you can’t see a person’s face.

That is freaky. I’ve never seen anyone wear hoodies that cover their faces. In HI it makes sense when you are in the sun if you don’t want to have tons of wrinkles! Maybe I’ll get one of these when I go back. On second thought – I already have tons of wrinkles! 🙂
