I just got home after two wonderful weeks in Hawaii. Vince and I stayed the first week and listened to the timeshare “blah blah,” and took quite a few side trips with a friend of ours.

Driving south on Maui Highway 30.
But Vince only likes to be away from home for a little bit, so the second week my friend Elane joined me.

I still really do have hair. The pre-hurricane wind blew hard!
She is amazing at any age, but she nears 80 with grace and enthusiasm.

NY high school theatre-arts classes still in effect! 🙂
Sadly, no theatre classes in my past. I was way too shy! 🙂

Everyone looks better at the beach! 🙂
Here is a link to the book I made her.
I hope you enjoy it as well.
Hawaii is my dream holiday. Always wanted to go there.

I have tickets I’m selling as a donation for our Chamber. $10 for a chance to win a week for 2 all expenses paid except food.

Jim and I had a timeshare from 1994 to 2003. We used it to go everywhere in the United States: Mardi Gras, Poconos, Durango CO, San Francisco, Sundance UT, and many others.

And then???? I used mine to go to IN with my bro last year, but other than that we have only used it in HI. We’ve only had it since 2012.

We sold it in 2003 because the complex instituted a $10,000 one-time assessment for roof replacement, garage door replacement, and repaving.

Yikes! I hope you didn’t have to pay it! I think that happened to the folks that owned our time share collection before we bought into it. Hawaii can have hurricanes that cause a lot of damage, and apparently that happened. It hasn’t happened to us, but it may. Hope not! Glad you were able to get out of it! 🙂

No. With large special assessments over a specific amount (determined by by-laws), they provide good lead time. We had a year’s notice so we sold before the special assessment was due.

Wow…what fun!!! It was worth sitting thru the timeshare blah, right? Love the photo book! Making sweet memories ♥

It was worth it because we had a great time. We have enough points to satisfy our need to travel, so we weren’t much fun for him. 🙂

It was easy to do, too. The only thing is that the print is really small, and so I hope I didn’t make any errors. I checked it lots of times. She shoudl be getting it any day. I’d love to see her expression when she opens it! 🙂 Thanks for taking the time to look, Sylvia. 🙂

I really don’t know how you get so much done in a day! I struggle to get everything I want to do done, and I don’t even work. 🙂

Oh, what a nice thing to give to Elane, so she can look back on her time with you.

I think she will really love it. I loved doing it. 🙂 A friend of mine did that for me and two other friends after a weekend we all took together at the coast. It was lovely, and one of my prized possessions, and I took many of the pictures. 🙂
