Christmas At Home

This is my 500th post to you.  Thank you all for being friends and readers.  Over the past year and a half many of you have become dear, dear friends.

I’ve read some of your blogs, and I’m so impressed with the depth of thought I’ve encountered.  I’m fairly shallow, but I’ll blend my wishes with yours and maybe they will acquire some great wisdom.

Merry Christmas1

Christmas is a time for loving, and going the extra mile for others, those you know and those you don’t.  It’s the perfect holiday to follow Thanksgiving.  Being thankful just naturally flows into giving to others.  May you be blessed with the joy of giving until your heart can’t hold any more joy and love.

SFW Christmas Eve051r

God bless you all, those that celebrate Christmas, and those who don’t.  To the ones we know and see, and those we can’t

  1. You’ll have to pardon this, Marsha (and feel free to delete!). I’m testing out my commenting capabilities as they don’t seem to be going through on my own blog. Don’t know if my IP address has been blocked or what!

      • I get so frustrated at times when I think I know exactly what I’m doing, technology-wise, and something doesn’t go as I expect it should. Do you have the chat service with WordPress. It’s wonderful for solving problems. M 🙂

        • Thanks, Marsha! I didn’t know about that but I’ll contact them to see if they can fix the issues. I’ve found a temporary solution, but I’m not happy with it. Perhaps they’ll be able to come up with something better. Thanks again! And merry Christmas!

          • I know, right?! That’s what I’m afraid of and vice versa. Askimet wasn’t clearing some comments – not as spam or not-spam. It’s like they never were submitted. I wonder if I could impose on you to go to the “Tragedy in the North Atlantic” post (first post on the blog) and just submit a word to two to see if it will clear? It would be a tremendous help and I’ll remove it afterwards. I’m not sure if my IP address is being blocked…

          • Not at all. A post of merit can be longer because there is content to hold people’s interest. The Titanic was so well known, and such an unexpected tragedy I think people identify with it even though times are different. We all know how random life is, and at any moment, with any number of choices, that could have been me!

    • You are coming through loud and clear! Keep those comments rolling! 🙂 Merry Christmas, my friend. Keep your wonderful posts rolling as well. You have an amazing gift of writing. 🙂 Marsha 🙂

  2. Excellent self-portrait there. Tooo sweet 🙂 And that photo of Chloe is most intriguing- it seems she is being rather stifled, even crushed, by that viciously careless smiling carefree brute of a snowman that has managed to pin her up against the wall….oh my….

Corn-grats on 500 posts!!! CHEERS! It has been such a joy imbibing of your blog and sharing experiences together. You are such a lovely and wise lassie, Marsha. You share so much, spreading a light across the bloggy sea like…alright, I’m stopping right here for I feel I’m slipping down a very mawkish and dangerously maudlin slope…and we don’t need that….

    Hugs and happy Christmas!!

    Autumn Jade

    • No, my dear, don’t get maudlin! It’s too hard to climb back out! You are the dearest of dears. Have a wonderful Christmas, and a Happy New Year as well. Love you much! 🙂 Marsha 🙂 xox

    • Duh! I’m slow to catch on! What you said was that you know Sylvia, so I’ve been wracking my poor little brain wondering who you were! Hehehe! !Why did you start again?

    • Thank you Renee! It’s been so long since I’ve heard from you, and I have been bad about visiting as well! It’s almost your birthday, and I’ve been thinking about you, and the fun I had setting up your birthday party last year. What are your plans this year?

Have a wonderful birthday, and a merry Christmas. Lots of love, Marsha 🙂

      • I know, its been so long! I have had quite a busy year this year with school and exams! I dont really have any plans for my birthday this year… some of my friends might come over and chill for a while but other than that, not a lot planned! and thank you! Hope you have a Merry Christmas(eve – where I am)! haha 😀 x

        • So it’s the day after Christmas for you now, and you are 17 already! Glad you’ve had such a great year. Hope I’ll see more of you this year. I’ve been really busy, too. Love, Marsha 🙂

    • Thanks Jilanne, thanks for all your helpful and encouraging comments this year. You’ve been a real friend. Please join me on FB if you are into that. I live getting updates from my blogging friends that way. 😀

    • Thank you Cotton. The feeling is mutual. I love your blog. I always learn something. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas with family and friends, and never stop blogging yourself. 🙂 Marsha 🙂

    • Hi Vel, Thank you so much for the wish. It’s been so nice to see you on FB. I don’t comment too much, but I love seeing your smiling face, and I feel your love for all coming right through the internet. Have a wonderful Christmas. 🙂 M

    • Same to you Carol. This “Manny” stuff has been so much fun this year. It’s been a highlight. Who knew it could be so much fun. Vince and I considered buying another Manny to send away, and I’m so glad we didn’t. Manny has a real personality, and it was special knowing that a part of us with with you and your family. 🙂

Hi, I'm Marsha Ingrao, a retired educator and wife of a retired realtor. My all-consuming hobby is blogging and it has changed my life. My friends live all over the world. In November 2020, we sold everything and retired to the mile-high desert of Prescott, AZ. We live less than five miles from the Granite Dells, four lakes, and hundreds of trails with our dog, Kalev, and two cats, Moji and Nutter Butter. Vince's sister came with us and lives close by. Every day is a new adventure.
