In the heart of South Bend, Indiana lies the famed University of Notre Dame, home of the fighting Irish.
Two days ago on the tour my brother and I stood wordlessly in the Grotto.
We stood respectfully off the grass in the God Quad.
Unlike the disrespectful chipmunk.
We silently admired the largest collection of French stained glass anywhere in the world, including France.
It was a relatively quiet tour of respect and admiration.
Randy sat wordlessly tired out after three hours of touring – some before the tour began.
I ended up being late for Wednesday, but if you’d enjoy other Wordless Wednesday posts click here.

Wait! Where’s Touchdown Jesus?! I dated a guy for five years, oh so many years ago, who graduated from Notre Dame–of the Joe Montana era. The origin of the Hail Mary Pass…going down memory lane, here. Please excuse me. 😮

The pictures didn’t come out as well as I would have liked, and the sun was not shining. Maybe I can get Nord before I leave on Monday.

Hi Viveka, I’ve missed you. I haven’t been browsing or posting as much as normal, but you can see why. Are you back from your trip to NYC? What a fun time it looked like you had! So what does your butt have to do with not seeing me? Were you turned the wrong direction? I’m lost on that one! tee hee! I’ve been lost a lot in the last few days! Good thing I don’t pay for mileage on my rental car! Notre Dame is famous for its football, and quite a few other things, I learned on the tour. So good to see you. Lots of love 🙂 M

My butt is on fire since … 2 months time now, so I can not sit for a longer period. I have done some post about my trip to NYC … I think it’s 6 in total by now.
And a couple more to come, had a great time in a great city – luckily my butt problem didn’t come along .. but I got them back 2 days after my return home.
You haven’t been around in my world and missed all the excitement about my trip and my health problems *smile
Great to hear from you.

How exciting. I had never been there before, in spite of spending my first 15 years in Indiana. It was a wonderful experience. A son of one of my brother’s friends goes there, and sons of my parents went there as well. It was quite beautiful and a sweet experience. Thanks for the comment. Tell your daughter hi for us.
